DESCRIPTION
Businesses have a lot of compliance regulations to follow, and making sure all employees adhere 100% is a daunting task and maybe an impossible goal. DNB, Norway's largest financial services group, has implemented a point solution (FAST Cleaner) based on search and SharePoint in order to flag potential sensitive items if they are stored with the wrong access rights. The solution is one of several measures taken in order to increase compliance awareness when using SharePoint at DNB. The goal of FAST Cleaner is to raise awareness of how and where items are stored in SharePoint. This will again increase the compliance level and make sure only the right people has access to sensitive data. The solution is fully automated and alerts an employee of any item the system flags as being sensitive based on a set of customizable rules.
