    Project Objective and Planning

The primary objective of this project is to take up social initiatives which will be beneficial for the people of the society. The initiatives are believed to play the vital role to sensitize common people of the society about the responsibility towards the underprivileged section. Now-a-days when we are seeing our surrounding becoming more and more selfish and losing the greatest virtue of life humanity, a trend of decreasing interest towards real social responsibility is being observed especially in youths. Being said that even we cannot ignore our own responsibilities just by blaming the people of the society. While doing the introspection questions comes up like: Why the youths are not getting interest in doing social developments, if we try to give it a thought, are we allowing the GenY to actually interact to know about the social responsibilities in a meaningful and interesting way? Are we trying to encourage the youths to look at it in a simple way. Cant we make doing Social Work a fun event which will make our society happy and we can see the youths coming up to make this world a beautiful place to live. Let us take an example, Suppose an young has come up with a budding interest to do something for the society, at the very beginning he has been asked to go to a remote village, far away from his home, to do some extensive day long field survey under the scorching heat of sun to collect data about the socio economical condition of the people living in the village. Or suppose he has been asked to donate a sum of 5000 Rs. towards the charity. In both the cases will the young be encouraged to cater the responsibility. In most of the cases NO, rather he will be shattered with wrong perception about doing social work. For him in first case the concept will remain as a very complex one and not-so-easy job and in second case he will never get the actual flair and seriousness lies within. So, what can be the solution to the concerns raised above? Ichhe Dana believes that the participation of the youth is a must to make progress. Thus we vow to build a community of social investors committed
