• Nyíregyháza has many shopping facilitie. It has a lot of

hypermarkets ,supermarkets, streetmarkets, department stores and many small shops, where people can

buy everything that they need.

Hypermarkets • It is worth buying there

because it is cheaper buying everything here than in supermarkets. Nyíregyháza has 3 hypermarkets, two Interspars and 1 Tesco where you can buy everything that you need.

•What’s more we have special hypermarkets for example: Obi, Baumax ,Praktiker and Media Mark where you can buy gardening goods, technical products and electronic products.

Supermarkets:

• It has fewer products than the hypermarkets. Altough people go to a supermarket every day, because they can buy fresh products there for example : bread, milk,salami, meat.

Markets: • Nyíregyháza has many

markets: The largest is on Tokaj street it’s name is KGST. You can buy different things there, not only fruit and vegetables because people sell everything there.For example: clothes, furniture, plants, domestic animals etc.

• The smaller market is in Búza street. However you can buy only fruit, vegetables and many plants and flowers there. Last but not least we have a flea-market where you can buy old things for example: antique furniture and other old things.

Nyíregyháza has many department stores:

• Stop Shop: It is in the outskirt in Pazonyi street near the Tesco. There are 73 shops not only clothes shops , but also : petshop, shoe shop, electronic and cosmetic shop.

Korzó: • It has six levels, but there are only four levels

where you can buy and eat something.There are 73 shops and 5 fastfood restaurants. These shops products are good quality. There are some famous shops: New Yorker, Orsay , Mayo Chix, Springfield where nowadays most teenagers do the shopping. Korzó is in the city centre so many people buy different things there every day.

Plaza: • It is the outskirt in Szegfű srteet. It has 2

floors, there are a lot of shops, restaurants, gamerooms, and a big cinema. This cinema is the biggest in Nyíregyháza, so lots of people

watch films there. Plaza has a big parking place and they organise a lot of event there.

Unfortunately, nowadays less and less people do the shopping small shops they perfer shopping in

department stores or hypermarkerts.

• Butcher’s: Meat is usually cheaper there than in hypermarkets, so less and less peolpe buy it here. Although the butcher’s goods are often better quality.

• Baker’s: Many people go to the baker’s everyday, because the Hungarian peolpe like fresh bakery products very much for example: roll and bread.

• Florist’s: Most florist’s are next to the cemetery because there are about 10 florist’s shops in Nyíregyháza. They sell not only flowers, but also some ornaments.

Charity shop: • There are more and more charity shop

in Nyíregyháza, but it isn’t bad because these clothes are cheap and some goods are good brand. Moreover poorer people can buy these clothes too.

Chinese shop:

• Unfortunately, nowadays there are a lot of Chine shops in Nyíregyháza. Moreover these shops are not too cheap and they push out the other shops.
