The present off leash dog park is very small and there aretoo many irresponsible dog owners who do not pick up aftertheir dogs and have no control over their dogs. Which endsup with dog fights. I don't want to get into my car to get to adog park and find that it is overcrowded with people anddogs.

The shire really needs more than 2 rangers. It’s a massive area for such limited staff. I’ve stopped going to the one on Larsen and I never saw rangers there.

I currently use the Jarrahdale log chop grounds, which I see was not mentioned as a dog exercise area. The grounds were fenced just a few years ago and I use the grounds a couple of times each week. I appreciate very much the availability of this fenced facility. This is because I prefer not to have dogs off lead in bushland as there are issues with snakes and I do not want them learning to chase kangaroos. The Jarrahdale bushland is the alternative to the fenced grounds for me. So, on lead in bush and off lead in the fenced grounds, giving my dogs freedom to exercise fully each week. Having said that, I always carry a lead in case another dog owner, visiting the grounds, requests my dogs be put on lead. In terms of other areas, I would certainly take the opportunity to use designated dog exercise areas nearby in Serpentine, Mundijong and Cardup (unable to tick multiple boxes for item 4 above.)providing they are fully fenced.
