Worship Series: Come to the Table
In this “Come to the Table” series, we hear the call to dine with Jesus— an invitation that means much more than a simple eating experience. It never was with Jesus. The table was the place where he not only fed people, but challenged them to acts of hospitality that reflect God’s way. When we say “yes” to the place at Christ’s table, we accept a way of life that embraces God’s denition of love, peace, grace and joy.

Scripture of the Week “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” Psalm 133:1 This ministry is designed to meet the spiritual needs of children that aren’t “Little kids” anymore, but aren’t Teenagers yet either. Kingdom Heroes is geared for children 1012 years old. We recognize there is a unique struggle at this time of transition to know who you are, and who you want to become. This ministry is designed to equip and empower young disciples as they face huge changes in their lives, bodies, friends, and schools. Kingdom Hereos grounds them in the Word of God, encourages them to boldly become who He made them to be, and professes that they are a beloved child of GOD now and ALWAYS! Kingdom Heroes meets on the second Friday of each month from 6:007:30pm, next group is October 6th. (1st Friday this month only). Want to invite EVERYONE to our Mission Fundraiser Spaghetti Dinner, October 1st at 6pm. Please invite your family and friends to come out and hear from the youth, see some of our pictures and enjoy dinner with us. God is doing a great work through our youth. We are so thankful for your support in all that we do.

2 Seeking Financial Peace? Join this 9 week course every Monday evening 79pm, in Cokesbury Hall. 1. Set up an emergency fund equal to three to six months of expenses (i.e., monthly payments for mortgage, utilities, insurances, food) in a money market account. An emergency fund is not an investment, rather it is insurance to cover true emergencies, such as automobile repairs, unexpected medical bills, loss of a job; it is not to be used for household purchases, clothing, or a new car. 2. Instead of incurring interest charges through borrowing money or using a credit card to purchase nonessential items, establish a sinking fund, save, and pay cash for such purchases. 3. Wealth building for retirement is a marathon, not a sprint to the finish line. After establishing an emergency fund, invest15 percent of your household income in Roth IRAs and pretax retirement plans. The earlier you start the greater the magic of compound interest will work for you. Register online www.fpu.com or call Thom Hostetter for more info at 703 9719107.
Span of Ages is Harmony IS BACK! Sundays 1011am in the Small Kitchen with an exciting 8 weeks to follow! This new study on 'Paul and the Galatians' promises an understanding of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ and His Cross. See you there!
