In order to have a positive experience in a STEM program, a students needs to:•Think critically & solve complex problems•Drive advancements in science, technology and mathematics•Be self motivated, inquisitive thinkers•Work independently and as contributing members of a team, accepting and reacting to improve oneself based on feedback and criticism
STEM- What is IT?Science, Technology, Engineering, Math
• Students participate in inquiry and problem-based instruction that integrates STEM with the traditional content areas
• Instruction will center on science, technology, engineering, and math as they impact the world around them
• Each team will work to design and construct integrated projects that incorporate the standards in science, language arts, social studies and math
• Partnerships and collaboration with local companies, agencies, businesses, and engineers.
If there are more qualified students than openings, a lottery system will be used to fill the 130 slots
