F.A.Q.s WHAT IS THIS COURSE LIKE?  Get ready for a challenge! 

Although not certified yet, you will want to be the  

first on this brand new course!  The OBEROD course  

is exactly 5 kilometers of off‐road grass trails.  This is,  

without question, one of the most challenging 5K  

courses on the east coast with its 400 foot elevation  

climbs, and rolling ranges.  There are sections of this  

course that you have to see to believe but when you  

finish, you will feel like you have conquered a mountain.  

The start is a downhill 300 meters and the finish is on  

the plush green lawn of the backyard of the historic  

OBEROD mansion.  Throughout the course, there are  

two foot bridges to cross, "pine tree alley" and a  

fast‐finish half mile.  Best footwear on this course is a

WHERE DO I PARK?  Info coming! 

Parking info will be posted to CFF’s website – www.cffde.org.  The info will also be emailed  

to all registrants at least two weeks before the event.  There will be onsite handicapped  

parking.   

 

WHAT ABOUT THE WEATHER?  This is a rain or shine event! 

Don’t let a little rain, scare you.  It will add to the adventure.  In the event of severe weather,  

check our website – www.cffde.org  and listen to the local radio stations for cancelations.   

 

HOW WILL THE RACE BE TIMED? This will be the FIRST timing of the new course! 

Delaware Race Timing http://www.delawaretiming.com/  will be hand and chip timing the 5K run.   

The timing chip is included in the registration cost. 

 

WHAT DO I GET WITH MY REGISTRATION?  A chip, a good time & more! 

  The timing chip is included in the registration cost.  You will also get a tee shirt, post‐run  

  refreshments and possible other swag.  There will be a water station half way through the  

  course and at the finish. 

 

WHAT ARE THE AGE GROUPS FOR THE AWARDS?  A spot for just about everyone! 

  The course is for runner and walkers who are up for the challenge or who want to enjoy an  

  absolutely beautiful area of Delaware!  However, we do not recommend it for the very young.
