System Expansion

Lambdatrail-OFAs an option, the Lambdatrail comes in an ‹OF› version. ‹OF› stands for without filter. MTP FO connectors allow the individual ports to be directly connected to existing 3d party vendor WDM systems or to flexible external filters (e.g. Lambdaway).

Lambdatrail StackingBy stacking the Lambdatrail DWDM multiplexers using the specially designed expansion ports the number of ports can be extended to 16, 24, or even 32.

Compact 8-Channel CWDM/DWDM Multiplexer

Lambdatrail is a highly flexible, versatile and compact CWDM/DWDM multiplexer. The high bit rate active interfaces can be equipped with SFPs according to your specific requirements. Lambdatrail supports a maximum of eight different channels and services such as IP, SDH, and storage to be monitored. Each channel is transparent, proto-col independent and allows transmission speeds of up to 16 Gbps. SNMP-based system monitoring can be performed on site via the integrated Ethernet port or in-band over the optical fibre.

The redundant AC or DC power supply offers the safety that is essen-tial to operate highly available networks. Mixed power supply opera-tion is supported.

The system is designed for a space-optimised use in Point-to-Point applications.
