With gratitude, we say “thank you” for your continued support of God’s ministry here at First Baptist Church. Ouryear-endfinancialstatementisreflectedabove.As you can see, we fell a little short of our projected giving to the ministry plan by only $9327, giving well above 99% of our $4.1 million budget. Your faithful financialsupportofourchurch,coupledwithcarefulmanagement of our spending, allowed us to end the year with excess funds of $23,441.

Faith Steps giving in FY2014 totaled $681,606. Since giving to Faith Steps began in 2008, we have given a total of $6,340,051. How grateful we are to God for His leadership in fostering commitment and generosity in the hearts and minds of His people!

Weremindthosewhohaveyettofulfillyourcommitment to Faith Steps that the pledge period for giving concludes at the end of this year. We will establishourlongtermfinancingonthisprojectinJanuary,2015.Itwilltakethefulfillmentofallourpledges to ensure a loan balance less than the $3.5 million projected at the inception of our Faith Steps venture.

Almost 20 years ago Woman’s Missionary Union established the Christian Women’s Job Corps in order to helpwomentobecomeself-sufficientintoday’s world. Now there are hundreds of sites all over the United States and

manyinothercountries.ThisyearthewinneroftheHuntsville/MadisonCountynonprofitof the year organization was Christian Women’s Job Corps of Madison County. Elaine Dickson is the Executive Director of CWJC. There have many women and men who have been a vital part of this work and we commend them for their dedication to this endeavor.
