Frigadon manufactures a comprehensive range of plug-in DX refrigeration units and water chillers.These products can be used for literally hundreds of different applications but as needs be they canalso be modified to suit individual special applications as shown in this presentation.

Cold storageFor example the plug-in DX refrigeration units arevery popular with BoxModul AB®. A companythat specialises in ready to use modules for deep-freezing and cold storage as well as mobile unitsfor any number of applications. The modules aredelivered ready to use and can be installed in only acouple of hours. BoxModule prefer to use compact units of theplug-in type that can be quickly installed without any refrigerantpipe installation work.

thousands of units, Frigadoncan be the right partner.Typically we supply ourcustomers with anythingfrom 10 to 200 units per yearbut we wouldn’t say no togreater numbers. Of coursewe also strive to make anybusiness relationship a longand healthy one, clearlyshown by the number ofcustomers that have beendoing business with us for 10years or more and by theway, we’ve been tradingsince 1977.

Telecom net works operatorFlextronics® needed a portableheavy duty 18 kW “emergencycooler” to be able to upholdcommunications while stationaryequipment could be repaired orreplaced.Surprise, surprise, such a unitwasn’t available off the shelfanywhere, but Frigadon could ina relatively short period of timedesign and build a number of unitsfor a very satisfied customer.

Cooling of electronicsTetraPak® manufactures amongst other thingsprocess equipment for pasteurization of milk.To cool their electronics that control the process,they were looking for a small cooling unit butit had to be in stainless steel, manufactured tothe same high specification as their processequipment.A large volume manufacturer was approachedby TetraPak but were not interested when theylearnt the volume would “only” be about 200units per year.

Cooling of heat inductionequipmentAlesco International® is a company that hasdeveloped induction heating to make it more easyto handle and economically justifiable forworkshops and the engineering industry.As all induction heaters have to be cooled, Alesco®naturally thought about a solution where the coolerscould be incorporated into their own product.After an initial meeting where we were given apiece of paper with a few scribbled notes on it,Frigadon came up with a working prototype in just4 weeks and have since then enjoyed a goodbusiness relationship.

Cooling in themedical fieldThis HCU30 Heater-Cooler Unit was Initiallydeveloped for and in conjunction with JostraAB®, manufacturer of Heart-Lung Machines.They were experts in their field but when theywere planning the next generation of Heater-Cooler Units they felt they needed the expertknowledge Frigadon has in designing and buil-ding specialized refrigeraton equipment on anOEM basis. Lately the product has beenincorporated in the Getinge Medical Corpora-tion under the Maquet Critical Care® brand.

Cooling of beer dispensingequipmentWorld famous brewery Carlsberg® also provides beerdispensing equipment to hotels, pubs and restaurants.They realized they needed to address old problems bycoming up with a completely new design and when itcame to the refrigeration side of the project we wereinvited to solve that part for them.

Frigadon has been manufacturing refrigeration units and equipmentsince 1977. Operations began with small plug-in units for cold roomsand today the most expansive market is water chillers and customdesigned products supplied to the industry on an OEM-basis*.

Our customers are mainly refrigeration installers and industries whobuy process cooling and OEM applications. Most are located in Europealthough some can be found in other parts of the world.

Our products are designed for Swedish climate conditions and meetthe requirements of all relevant European directives and standards.

*OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. This means that Frigadonmanufactures other companies’ original products.
