This program has three objectives:
1) to give you an overview of the broad range of activity of the current UNC faculty in the form of presentations by each of them
2) to offer Dr. Proffit a last chance to offer his perspective on both the topics presented by the faculty and selected topics that he thinks need clarification. Those topics are how you can learn best from your own experience and that of others, the extent to which orthodontic biology can be manipulated and the dangers of misguided overtreatment, and the role of TAD-supported orthodontic mechanics in the treatment of skeletal problems.
3) to bring you up to date on both the recent accreditation of the department and the leadership change
