1. Old clock tower
In Tsim Sha Tsui there was an old clock tower. It was once part of the railway station. About 25 years ago the railway station moved to Hung Hom. Only the clock tower is still in Tsim Sha Tsui.
Tung Chung Fortress
Tung Chung Fortress is over 170 years. It locates at th
e south of Tung Chung village of the North of Lantau Island. It is made of large rocks. It has three arched doors.
A famous priate Cheung Po Chai ( 張保仔 ) lived in T
ung Chung once. Later soldiers stayed there and built the fortress. There are still six cannons in the fortress.
the Peak Tram The Peak Tram is over
110 years. In the past, people went up to the Peak on foot or by sedan chair. A hotel owner on the Peak wanted more people to come to his hotel so he spent $2000 to build a tramway.
The Star Ferry is over 102 years. It had only four ferries at that time. All the ferries had names with ‘Star’ in them. The fare was cheap. The first fare was five cents per person.
