OliveRose Quilt Sewing Instructions1. Refer to the illustration of the quilt on the previous page. It is divided into large square sections which consist of either two or three pieces, making two large rectangles in each section.

Section 1 - 1st large rectangleSew a 10 1/2" x 10 1/2" A square to a 2 1/2" x 10 1/2" Q rectangle to a 8 1/2" x 10 1/2" J rectangle. Press.

Section 1 - 2nd large rectangle - Sew a 10 1/2" x 15 1/2" G rectangle to a 3 1/2" x 10 1/2" V rectangle to a 2 1/2" x 10 1/2" AA rectangle. Press and sew the two large rectangles together.

2. Refer to the schematic on page 3 and sew the pieces together in each section. Then sew the two large rectangles together to complete each section.When the four sections of the first row are complete, sew them together into a row. Press.Continue, sewing the sections, then sewing them together to complete the rows.

3. Sew the rows together. Press.

4. Layer, quilt, and finish. Roses and curling vines, taken from the medallion print, were used as inspiration for the quilting.Many times, actual images on large scale fabrics can became the quilting designs on the quilt.

BEFORE CUTTING AND SEWING, PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS TO FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF WITH THEM.A 1/4” seam allowance is used throughout.

A — cut 2 – 10 1/2” x 10 1/2” squares and 1 – 10 1/2" x 15 1/2" rectangle.

B — cut 1 – 8 1/2” x 10 1/2” rectangle, 1 – 10 1/2 x 15 1/2" rectangle, and 1 – 10 1/2" x 18 1/2" rectangle.

C — cut 1 – 8 1/2” x 10 1/2” rectangle, 1 – 10 1/2 x 15 1/2" rectangle, and 1 – 10 1/2" x 18 1/2" rectangle.

G — cut 1 – 8 1/2” x 10 1/2” rectangle, 1 – 10 1/2 x 15 1/2" rectangle, and 1 – 10 1/2" x 18 1/2" rectangle.

H — cut 1 – 8 1/2” x 10 1/2” rectangle, 1 – 10 1/2" x 10 1/2" square, and 2 – 10 1/2" x 18 1/2" rectangles.

I — cut 1 – 10 1/2” x 10 1/2” square and 2 – 10 1/2" x 15 1/2" rectangles.

J — cut 1 – 8 1/2” x 10 1/2” rectangle, 1 – 10 1/2 x 15 1/2" rectangle, and 1 – 10 1/2" x 18 1/2" rectangle.

K — cut 1 – 2 1/2” x 10 1/2” rectangle.

L — cut 2 – 2 1/2” x 10 1/2” rectangles.

M — cut 1 – 2 1/2” x 10 1/2” rectangle.

N — cut 1 – 2 1/2” x 10 1/2” rectangle.

O — cut 1 – 2 1/2” x 10 1/2” rectangle, 1 – 3 1/2" x 10 1/2" rectangle, and 1 – 10 1/2" x 10 1/2" square.
