• Next-Generation Bitstream/ Virtual Unbundling is a best-in-class that

- should be considered in some cases as alternative to infrastructure competition,

- flexible enough to foster investment and to allow deployment take-off,

- without preempting the future on the promises of TWDM-PON technology.

• It naturally applies :

- As regulatory-driven non-discriminatory product or remedy

- In (UK) functional separation case

- In co-investment models, publically or privately-driven

- By market-driven projects leveraging wholesale revenues

• It requires the right level of discussion

- between stakeholders – NRAs, infrastructure operators and access seekers,

- to enable the right features and match access seekers expectations (SLA, SLG)
