Happy New Year!
These past twelve months have been inspiring for us—and hopefully for you! As staff at the Taft Museum of Art prepare to embark upon a new calendar year, I want to provide you a gift that keeps the Taft in the forefront of your mind. I hope that you will enjoy this 2020 calendar filled with highlights, impactful quotes, and memories from the past year at the Museum. From riveting exhibitions, meaningful experiences for children, and the growing popularity of our Lunch & Learn program, the Taft has something for everyone.
In 2020 we celebrate our largest piece of art—the circa 1820 historic house—with its bicentennial anniversary. I have chosen a few of my favorite historic photographs to help illustrate how the house has changed throughout the years— yet how it has also remained true to Anna and Charles Taft’s vision of dedicating their home and collection to the people of Cincinnati.
I hope that you will continue this journey with us throughout 2020 as the Taft celebrates our home’s 200th year with programs, tours, events, and special giving initiatives. These initiatives will ensure this beloved historic house is preserved for generations to come. Please stay tuned.
Thank you for all that you continue to do to support the Taft Museum of Art.
With gratitude,
Deborah Emont Scott Louise Taft Semple President/CEO

“ My power figure is based off of me. My power figure stands tall with one foot in the air. This is because I am strong, but I still have more to learn, so my foot is reaching for a new step. My power figure’s power is to bring more light and ideas to the world.”

WE GIVE BACK TO CINCINNATI!
Every Sunday, Taft Museum admission is free to all. Every school field trip is free, too, and the Taft pays bus fees for schools that demonstrate need.
The Taft also supports community organizations throughout the year by donating Museum tickets for fundraisers. Over the past year we have donated more than 600 tickets to worthy nonprofits.
