MuLTIuSER CAPABLE SQL DATABASEOmniWin 2013 Classic is supported in all operations by an efficient network based multiuser SQL database. It can be installed on a single workstation for standalone operation or across an entire company. As it operates with minimal demands on hardware resources, it can be installed both on an economical client as well as on a powerful server operating system. All tools offer you consistent, simple operator inter-faces and processes to be able to find objects such as orders, parts and nested plans quickly and efficiently in the database. The database tables can be extended by customer specific fields. Methods for automatic calculation of field contents are available.
COMPREHENSIVE, fLEXIBLE MACHINE SuPPORT You define your factories machine park using the OmniWin 2013 Classic configuration module. You enter cutting, marking, drilling processes as well as the materials and material groups that are available for each machine. All parameters can be modified and extended to suit your individual requirements. The powerful machine modeling and the flexible postprocessor concept guarantee that many types of cutting machines can be represented. These parameters are stored in the SQL database and are thus universally available throughout the system. In this way, all categories of machines can be represented, from just one carriage, to multiple carriages which are clamped manually or automatically, all the way up to machines with
several driven heads. Apart from the cutting processes, various point, line and text marking processes are supported. A wide range of drilling options (Professional Edition) support deep hole drilling and threaded holes. OmniWin 2013 Classic inclu-des an extensive collection of standardized technology data for almost all cutting units and processes sold by Messer Cutting Systems in the last 30 years. This solid base allows also for customer manipulation to match special situations.
DESIGN PARTS fASTThe CAD module has been especially conceived for the quick and professional designing of thermally cut parts. The results are stored directly into the SQL database without any need for intermediate formats. Nearly 90 component templates with parameters (Macros) are available to you and speed up the creation of standard parts. You can select from numerous positioning, drawing, modifying, group and labeling functions, well known from other professional CAD programs. Thermal cutting and marking requirements such as the transformation of letters into closed contours or line contours are available. Turning a digital picture or logo involves just a couple of mouse clicks. You set the contour start point and quality identification for each sub-contour, add dimensioning objects and finally store the finished part with part identification, quantity, materi-al, thickness and freely defined administration data in the SQL database, where certain fields, such as length, width, area weight and cutting length, are calculated automatically.

POWERfuL IMPORT Of PARTSPart geometries which have been created using other CAD systems can be imported directly into the CAD program and immediately reworked if necessary. OmniWin 2013 Classic also contains an additional powerful tool to import DXF/DWG files automatically and in bulk. Take advantage of customer defined presets in which nu-merous flexible possibilities for import can be configured. Import drawings prepared by your clients highly efficiently and consistently into your own parts database. Bevel information, quality levels, and the characteristics of drilled holes amongst other data is supported during import. ESSI and DSTV (option) files can also be imported in this manner.
uSE SKETCHES AND fAXESA further highlight in OmniWin 2013 Classic is the function of importing picture files as the basis for part drawings. To do this, the CAD program has a high level algorithm for contour recognition in pictures and the subsequent fitting of sub-contour lengths. With OmniWin 2013 Classic you can convert sketches and axes into part drawings simply and in seconds.
NESTING WITH PROCESS REQuIREMENTSWith the nesting module you can nest large quantities of parts in a short time and simultaneously minimizing the resulting scrap. Whilst doing this, you always keep track of where certain components on the plan are, resulting in high efficient
work. Process technical requirements are taken into account e.g. by creating lead-ins and lead-outs according to pre-defined rules. You nest the parts out of an optical list giving a clear overview using Drag & Drop with automatic collision control. The spacing as well as the shape and length of the automati-cally generated lead-in and lead-out lines are based on tech-nology data stored specifically for each machine and process. Manual and semi-automatic nesting in rows or in a matrix is child’s play. You can set the sequence of cutting, marking and drilling processes for parts and contours either manually or rule based. Also the processing of open inner and outer contours as well as automatic repositioning of leads when rotating are comfor-table functions offered by OmniWin 2013 Classic NEST. Part lead-ins can be modified at any time by hand in both shape and position, so that the personal experience of your staff can im-prove based on individual situation. Support for multiple torch operation is already available in the Standard Edition. Groups of parts manually nested can be copied and used again. Incom-plete plans can be stored and completed by colleagues.
AuTOMATIC NESTINGThe fully automatic nesting mode (Enhanced and Professional Editions) from OmniWin 2013 Classic is among the best to be found in the branch. It is extremely fast and reduces your ma-terial utilization to a minimum. You produce highly optimized plans in the blink of an eye.

OPTIMIZE uSING TECHNOLOGyWith the Professional Edition nesting module you will receive numerous technology optimization functions. Using bridges, common cuts, linking cuts (chain cuts), and by pre-piercing you can reduce processing time and protect your consumables. By adding stitches, loops or triangles you can significantly impro-ve quality for special scenarios. Depending on the process, the cutting of the scrap framework can be defined to split up the resulting frame in a manner that makes cleaning the cutting table easy and safe.
DEfINE REMNANT PLATESWith the Professional Edition you are able to define one or more remnant plates directly in the nesting plan view and save them to the plate database. Various algorithms are available to you to optimize the process. By adding these cuts you achieve manageable remnant plates ready to go straight from the cutting table into stock. When nesting with remnant plates, a powerful algorithm helps you to select the smallest available remnant plate from the library for a given nesting plan.
GENERATE NC CODE MOST EffICIENTLyOnce you have completed the nesting process, just save the plan to the database. The NC code is created efficiently at the same time using the programmable postprocessor. Postpro-cessors for numerous standard machines are included in our software package. Using the built-in simulation, you can trace
exactly how the NC code will be processed by the machine later. It is also possible to create the code for selected parts from a plan and thus have the output split for several ma-chines. In the same way, splitting into separate marking and cutting plans is supported.
MANAGE ORDERSDifferent orders can be compiled quickly and easily from individual parts. Subsequently, the order data is automatically added to the parts. In this way, a part can be allocated to several different orders with individual quantities for each of them. Parts can be stored as part groups with number, name, quantity and position. Then you can also produce orders using the part group table. With the configurable order management,
OmniWin 2013 Classic can also be linked into systems for production control. Thus you can automatically create and nest orders directly from your PPS or ERP system. Order manage-ment is a component of the Professional Edition.
CREATE REPORTSPrinted reports are a standard requirement for production and management. They are printed automatically or manually from OmniWin 2013 Classic. Graphic representation of nested plans and parts lists are just as easily possible as the output of bar-codes. You can customize your reports to meet your individual requirements using the Report Editor.
