The event will be held at Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi tomorrow (Jan 20). Over two thousand students, parents and teachers will be participating from across the country. Shri Modi will answer the questions and interact with selected students about how they can beat examination stress. In January 2019, during the 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' programme, the Prime Minister had said that expectations are essential. Shri Modi had said that we cannot live in an atmosphere of despair and unhappiness. A student of 11th Standard of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Kankarbagh, Patna has said that Prime Minister directly communicates with students during the programme which instills positive energy. Anjum Parveen of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Port Blair, Jan 19 Union Territory of A&N Islands organized Single round of National Immunization Day for Polio in the entire Territory today. The inaugural ceremony for National Immunization Day for Polio was organized in VK Nagar Palika Vidyalaya near Netaji Stadium this morning by administrating first drop of Oral Polio Vaccine by Shri KR Meena, Principal Secretary (Health), A&N Administration. The programme was attended by Smti Kriti Garg, Secretary (Health)/ Mission Director (UTHM), Dr Omkar Singh, Director of Health Services and Dr Avijit Roy, State Immunization Officer along with other officials of DHS. The Director of Health Service welcomed the gathering and requested the people to visit their nearest Polio Booths to vaccinate their children between 0-5 years of age. Nearly 25 children were vaccinated during the occasion. Along with this, the entire UT of A&N Islands has started three days' activities for Polio vaccination 2020 in 559 booths. The first day was booth activities, which will be followed by the house to house visit by the Health Workers and volunteers for find out the left out children. Meanwhile, arrangements were made to cover the children at bus terminals, sea port and angements were also made to cover the children travelling by Inter Island Vessels as well as at Veer Savarkar International Air Port, Port Blair. In A&N Islands, out of 26736 children 25852 children, in the age group of 0-5 years were administered Polio vaccine on 1st day, which includes Port Blair and Defense area. Ambedkar Institute of Technology organized 24 hour Internal Hackathon as a preparatory event for the grand finale of Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2020. The event started yesterday and concluded today after a 24 hours non-stop coding and development session. Total 9 teams comprising 54 student of both B.Tech and Diploma programmes participated in the event who developed technical solutions for various Governmental problems Internal Hackathon 2020 organized at DBRAIT submitted by A&N Administration. The team 'Black-Ops' bagged the first position with a cash prize of Rs. 3000/-, team 'Squad' was adjudged the second with a cash prize of Rs. 2500/- whereas the team 'Memoir' won the third position with a cash prize of Rs. 2000/-. These teams along with other 4 teams in line will be representing A&N Islands at National level in the grand finale of SIH 2020 during March and July 2020, a communication from DBRAIT said. Port Blair, Jan 19 As part of National programme to conserve and enhance productivity of India's indigenous cattle breed, the Departmental Cattle Holding Farm at Dollygunj has taken up the mission of production of indigenous cattle (Gir breed) through performing Artificial Insemination in the existing stock of cross breed cattle. Gir cows are robust, resilient and found to be suited to the Islands’ climate and environment. They are endowed with qualities of heat tolerance, resistance to diseases and the ability to thrive under extreme climatic stress and less than optimal nutrition. Due to constraint in Conservation & Development of Indigenous Cattle Deptt. of AH&VS urges farmers to avoid indiscriminate breeding of cattle resources, presently the farm is maintaining limited stock and the Department of AH&VS is providing facilities of artificial insemination in cattle with selected Indigenous cow germplasm for the benefit of dairy farmers. Hence, the cattle rearing farmers have been requested to avoid indiscriminate breeding of their cattle and adopt artificial insemination by contacting the nearest Veterinary Institutions to upgrade the non-descript breed available with them, a communication from the Senior Veterinary Officer, Cattle Holding Farm, Dept. of AH & VS said. Port Blair, Jan 19 The Office of the Superintendent of Police and three Police Stations viz. P.S Car Nicobar, P.S Nancowrie, P.S Campbell Bay of Nicobar District have become ISO 9001:2015 certified.The preparations for ISO Certification started in July 2019 and it was awarded on Jan 15, 2020 to 3 Police Stations of Car Nicobar, Nancowrie, Campbell Bay and SP Office, Nicobar District. This was possible due to the relentless efforts of all Police officials of Nicobar District. The certification has been awarded on three aspects viz. Crime Data Management, Strong Community Policing and 3 Police Stations & SP Office Nicobar get ISO 9001:2015 Certification Law & Order Management. There is an upkeep of general cleanliness and beautification in 3 Police Stations and SP office. These Police Stations have rooms for women complainants and victims, child friendly rooms for kids, if they come along with victims and drinking water facility for all visitors. It also has separate restrooms and toilets for men and women personnel. Well maintained mess facilities are also provided to all personnel living in police barracks. These ISO certifications show that Nicobar District Police as a component of A&N Police strives to achieve best possible international Standards in professional policing and public delivery of services. It also shows commitment of A&N police to provide world class policing to the residents of these Islands. This upgrading will allow the police to deliver better services to the people along with ensuring an increase in efficiency of the law and order machinery. This certification has boosted the morale and responsibility of the police officials in the district and has motivated other Police Stations (that are not ISO certified) of the district to achieve this feat in near future, a communication from the Superintendent of Police, Nicobar District said. Port Blair, Jan 19 The Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Govt. of India has invited online nominations for various categories of Awards to be given away on April 24, 2020 on the occasion of National Panchayati Raj Day. The various categories under the Award are- Deen Dayal Upadhyay Panchayat Sashaktikaran Puraskar (DDUPSP); Nanaji Deshmukh Rashtriya Gaurav Gram Sabha Puraskar (NDRGGSP); Gram Panchayat Development Plan Award (GPDP) and Child Friendly Gram Panchayat Award (CFGPA). These awards have been instituted by the MoPR, GoI under the 'Incentivization of Panchyats' scheme to appreciate and encourage the Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) of the country for their outstanding performance through effective Gram Sabha meetings in respect of improvements in the Social and Economic Development of the village. The Deen Dayal Upadhyay Panchayat Sashaktikaran Puraskar (DDUPSP) are given to best performing Panchayats (District, Intermediate and Gram Panchayat) in recognition of good work done for improving delivery of services and public goods. The award money for District Panchayat is Rs 50 lakh, Intermediate Panchayat is Rs 25 lakh, Gram Panchayat is Rs 05 to 15 lakhs depending upon population. The Nanaji Deshmukh Rashtriya Gaurav Gram Sabha Puraskar (NDRGGSP) are given to Gram Panchayats for outstanding performance through effective Gram Sabhas. Award money is Rs - 10 lakhs per Gram Panchayat. The Gram Panchayat Development Plan Award (GPDP) are given to Gram Panchayats who have developed developments plans as per the mandate of the constitution and as per GPDP guidelines. Award money is Rs - 05 lakhs per Gram Panchayat. The Child Friendly Gram Panchayat Award (CFGPA) are given to Gram Panchayat for adopting child friendly practices. The award money is Rs 5 lakhs per Gram Panchayat. Besides the compoundable nature of cases pending in different courts, disputes at the pre- DLSA to organizes National Lok Adalat on Feb. 8 litigation stage will also be entertained by the National Lok Adalat for disposal upon consensual settlement between the parties. Pre-litigation disputes include NI Act cases u/s 138, Money Recovery cases, Labour dispute cases, Electricity and water bills cases (excluding non- compoundable), Maintenance cases, other (Criminal Compoundable) and other Civil disputes, which had not reached the door step of any court earlier. New Delhi, Jan 19Reserve Bank has askedbanks and other card-issuing companies toprovide facility tocustomers to switch onand off their debit or creditcards, a move aimed atenhancing security fordigital transactions. The RBI said that at thetime of issue or re-issue, allcards (physical and virtual)should be enabled for useonly at contact basedpoints of usage ATMs andPoint of Sale (PoS) deviceswithin India. The central Bank saidissuers should providecardholders a facility forenabling card not present(domestic andinternational) transactions,card present (international)transactions andcontactless transactions.
