FROM YOuR PRESIdEnTby Bill Brock

As you all know your Board of Directors has been working hard to improve the operation and better-ment of our Club but at the same time save money. Whether it is the economy or attrition due to many factors, the Club’s membership is in a state of decline. However, we continue to supply the membership with many ben-efits, of which I believe the most important is rallies. Our new V.P. of Rallies and Wagon Master Kathé Letulle, along with her husband Derrel, have been keeping us in high gear with many new places to visit and to enjoy each other’s company. Our Club manager, Jane Jordan has also been keeping us on the straight and narrow working many long hours, not spending as much time as she would like with her family. With that being said, we your Board of Directors have been looking to the future for office assistance & help for Jane. A product known as Wild Apricot, a web based solution, will be incorporated into our club. Wild Apricot “is an online membership software for associations, non-profits, clubs and subscription websites. It is a cloud-based system, so you can use it right from your web browser.” We will be able to organize and customize our mem-bership database to suit our needs. We will also be able to automate applications, payments and renewals, and generate online member directories. Wild Apricot will help us build our own web site and make easy updates. It will give us the oppor-tunity to send email newsletters and email blasts helping us stay in better contact with our mem-

bers. In no manor shape or form will Wild Apricot take over for the great job that Jane is doing in our office. It will certainly help Jane do an even better job for our Club. Here in the northeast the trees are budding, the tulips are ready to open and the winter snows have turned to nourishing rain. Spring has arrived and like Wild Apricot a new season is upon us.Safe travels,

Bill

FROM the SECRETARYby Gerry Conway

We are back in our home town of Cumming, Georgia, after spending the wild Southern winter months in Florida. The first thing we did while in Florida was visit Fountain RV to replace the seals on our slides, which leaked when it rained. We are so pleased that our slides now are leak free. They fixed our dash air conditioner which stopped working last year (two companies claimed they couldn’t fix it).

We have to tell you that Fountain’s work, employees and Butch were very nice to work with. We made an appointment, drove in, and they went right to work. Since the seals needed time to dry we spend the night there which worked out great for us. We had them redo the driver’s side window and now my husband can see out without a cloudy window. Great work and reasonable priced.

If you have had a good experience with a repair shop please let us knows. In fact, if you had a bad experience we would like to know that too so send us your experiences.

The Cody, WY, rally is shaping up to be a fun rally with lots of things to do. If you have not registered go to the Country Coach website or use the form in this newsletter. This rally brings together three clubs - CCI, the Diesel RV Club, and Rocky Mountain Country Coachers working together to make this a great rally month. Looking forward to seeing you there.

As I always mention, please remember our service men and women. When you see one please thank them for serving our country.

Please remember all the victims of the Boston Marathon Bombings.

God Bless the USA.

Gerry

Cabin fever has hit! The sun is shining and the road is calling! Is your Coach calling you too? CCI members across the country are getting ready for the road now that the sea-son of travel is upon us. What a wonderful life of American Freedom, to be able to travel anywhere, at any time, in a beautiful Country Coach.

Do your plans include the “Made in America” Rally in Cody, WY, June 10-14? The Caravan to Cody from the East is sure to be full of good times with so many sites to see along the way. With George and Janet Sanders once again heading up the troops, your travels to Cody will be well worth joining them at any point of the journey. Reports from last year’s caravan were of “laughing so hard, tears ran down their legs!” So join the fun. The weather in Cody in June is perfect and the location is awesome. As you will see inside this newsletter - the CCI Rally is the place to be.

I have heard that the BearTooth Hwy/Pass is just that - a “bear” to travel in a coach, so we recommend an alternate route when approaching from the West. After hearing member, Jim Fazio’s, hair-raising tale of be-ing the “Accidental Tourist” on that highway, please heed the warnings not to go there in a coach. Beautiful, but treacherous.

And don’t wait to register…the deadline for a discounted registration fee is June 1. Registrations will be accepted until June 1, or until sold out. The 60 spaces are filling up, so get your registration in soon.

This rally offers so much: On-site coach service, glass/windshield repair/replacement, coach

weighing, fire and life safety seminars, CCI logowear, shopping with vendors, informative seminars and tech talk sessions, craft classes, pet parade, a day of golf, charity events, en-tertainment galore, catered meals, local area tours and more. But best of all: friendships, old and new will be found there too! Don’t miss it!

Changes at the Office: The CCI Toll Free 800 phone number and the Fax line have been eliminated in an effort to reduce expenses. You can still reach the Dedicated Club Office in Junction City, OR, Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm (Pacific) at 541.998.3712, and you can still send faxes by calling first. It seemed redundant to be keeping these extra lines, when we could be putting those funds to better use, like increas-ing benefits to enhance your membership.

Your Officers are hard at work making im-provements to the Club. They need your help. The future of this Club is dependent on its members. The goal of an “all volunteer” organ- ization is the focus now, and the members are asked to do what they can to make sure CCI is around for another 30 years. What can you do to help? Call an Officer for details. And when you are in the area, come by and see me! Have a wonderful spring and Travel Season. Next stop – Cody, WY. Hope you will join CCI there.

Blessings,

Jane

Regional Clubs & FMCAfMCA INTO RAlly IN TUCSON

CCI Board member Roger Herr attended the FMCA INTO Area Rally, March 20 - 23, at Lazy Days RV in Tucson, Arizona. He was there to man the CCI Club Chapter Fair booth.

The number of attendees at the Chapter Fair was quite low, however, we did meet some really great people with some interesting questions.Overall it was a very successful rally & very well organized.

There was a request for someone to take pictures during the rally but no one volunteered, so Roger volunteered to take the pictures and they turned our well!

Being able to assist was a very pleasurable experience. We did sign up a new member and talked to three interested vendors to possibly advertise in our ON THE ROAD AGAIN eNewsletter publication. The Coun-try Coach owners we talked to were very supportive of our Club.

1. For motorhome owners, Cody, WY, will be the place to be this June. There are three rallies in Cody and a fourth in Gillette, WY, all within 21 days! In addition to our CCI rally go to 1 or 2 others, what a hoot! You’re sure to see all your friends. Here’s the June schedule -

2-7 Diesel RV Club, Cody10-14 Country Coach International, Cody19-23 Rocky Mountain Country Coachers, Cody19-22 FMCA International, Gillette, WY

That’s a lot of Rallies, friends to see, & plenty of time for all the great things to see and do . . . read on!2. Amazing Scenery. You’ll find everything from the most remote wilderness in the lower 48, sage brush

deserts, rivers, lush valleys and Yellowstone National Park. There are two spectacular scenic drives outside of Cody, the Beartooth All-American Road and the North Fork Highway. Both are considered to be some of the most scenic drives in America. At the CCI Rally we’ll have maps and day trip routes.

3. History. Jump on the Cody Trolley to learn more about Buffalo Bill and a tour of the area’s historical sites, geology, wildlife & old and new west attractions. In an hour, you will get a hundred years of history! Visit the Cody Mural Visitors Center to learn about the Mormon pioneer’s life in the Big Horn Basin. Tecumseh’s Old West Miniature Village and Museum is a great treasure with a huge diorama of Wyoming and western history.

4. Yellowstone. America’s first National Park is one of the most unique places on earth. From your car, visitors can view wild animals in their natural setting. Not unlike an African safari, you can drive through the vast herds of bison in the Lamar Valley and spot a pack of wolves, coyotes or a grizzly bear.

5. Rodeo - Cody is Rodeo! The Cody Nite Rodeo is the longest running nightly rodeo in the coun-try. Contestants compete every night from June 1 to August 31st at Stampede Park. You can watch cowboys compete in roping, bareback and saddle bronc riding and the exciting event of bull riding. This is truly a night of western entertainment.

6. Western Art. There are several wonderful art galleries in Cody. You will find bronzes, oil paintings, watercolors, wildlife photography and furniture. The Whitney Gallery inside the Buffalo Bill Historical Center features the work of Frederic Remington, Charles M. Russell and Thomas Moran to name a few.

7. Wildlife Viewing. The drive from Cody to the East gate of Yellowstone is beautiful and full of wildlife. Big Horn sheep & bison hang out right on the road. Deer & elk can be spotted in the hayfields in the evenings & on the mountain ridges during the day. Stop near Pahaska Tepee, Buffalo Bill’s historic hunting lodge.

8. Buffalo Bill. - No one symbolizes the American West better than Buffalo Bill. He was a man of many talents – showman, businessman, hunter and scout. He had great visions for Cody and the surrounding area. The Buffalo Bill Historical Center pays tribute to this legend with a museum solely dedicated to him.

9. Adventure. Outdoor experiences are abundant in Cody/Yellowstone Country. The area is home to tons of trails for horseback riding, hiking, and mountain biking.

10. Camaraderie. Join your friends at the Original Country Coach Owners Rally! See the following pages for complete details including a Fun-Filled Caravan to WY and the Action-Packed Schedule of Events. Only 60 spaces available, so register now!

Seminar PreSenTerS & Service ProviderS

Aqua-Hot hydronic heating is associated closely with recreational vehicles. Probably because Aqua-Hot created the first engineered application of hydronic heating for RVs back in 1984. Today, we’ve expanded engineered applications to UTVs, RTVs, commercial vehicles, boats and custom installations.

Aqua-Hot systems are cutting-edge products that add comfort and value for owners. Just look for the Aqua-Hot Comfort Zones On-Board symbol on vehicles made by themanufacturers who believe their customer’s comfort is paramount.

Our Presenter is John Carillo970.518.3085; http://www.aquahot.com/

The Recreation Vehicle Safety & Education Foundation (RVSEF) is dedicated to providing professional and objective RV education with a focus on consumer safety and lifestyle enhancement.

Seminar PreSenTerS & Service ProviderS“Who needs SkyMed?”

The simple answer is... anyone who travels more than 100 air miles from their home as a vacationer, business traveler, timeshare owner, and north America’s burgeoning number of recreation ve-hicle owners, who would gain peace of mind from SkyMed TAKES YOu HOME.

Should a critical illness or injury occur while traveling, a SkyMed membership takes you home. If you’re ill or injured, home -- or your hometown hospital--is where you and your family need to be.

Our definition of home is simple: Home is where you say it is. When struck by the unexpected, our service takes you home.

Some companies try to imitate SkyMed, but have yet to duplicate SkyMed’s services. The competition’s fine print mentions where they will take you, and chances are, you’ll already be in the closest appropriate hospital! By the time you can call from the hospital, our competition has little help to offer. That is the exact time that our benefits begin!

Our services encompass the USA, Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, the Caribbean, and the Bahamas. When but 100 miles from home, our members are protected. Dare to compare our product with its competition, and you will discover the superiority of SkyMed TAKES YOU HOME.
