Thanksgiving One Step Equations Translate each verbal phrase into an equation. Find your answer in one of the three answer boxes. Find the problem number on the coloring page and color each section with the color that corresponds to your answer. Use only POSITIVE integers for “x”!

4 Gina has 7 guests coming for Thanksgiving dinner. She makes 28 rolls. How many rolls will each guest get?

5 Randy’s casserole recipe states that it will serve 6
people. How many casseroles will he make if he ends up with 18 servings?

6 Kristen has 14 family members coming to her house. Devon has 1½ times as many expected guests. How
many family members are coming to Devon’s house?
14x = 1.5 YELLOW
x = (14)(1.5) RED

7 Shelbea uses 9 potatoes to make her mashed potatoes.
Hannah uses 14. How many more potatoes does Hannah use?
