The Little Mermaid Hans Christian AndersenMost young people are unfamiliar with the original version of Andersen's story and it's time to educate teens about the love story and it's consequences (Hint: They don't live happily ever after!)This session needs to be no less than 2 hours due to the length of the story. The Lorax Dr. Seuss This story brings environmental complexities to young people in a manner they can grasp- and only Dr. Seuss can create such terrific characters to dramatize!? We'll explore- and change- the story! The Magician’s Boy Susan Cooper The Boy must find St. George. But to do so, he needs to go through the Land of Story. We will enact some adventures found in the book (often based on stories and tales from around the world) and have fun creating some of our own! The Man Who Caught Fish Walter Lyon Krudop This tale from Thailand has a fabulous twist at the end. Children will become the man, the townspeople and the king. This tale of what is just and right, and about greed and what it leads to, is very fulfilling for teens.
