Listen to some of your favorite songs, then make a playlist or written list of ones that make the best poems. Day 7 Important Topics Finding Langston covers many important topics artfully and effectively. Research a person, place, or event mentioned in the book and write down 5 things that you learned about your chosen topic. Day 8 Day 9 Lesa Cline-Ransome Books Lesa Cline-Ransome, the author of Finding Langston, also writes picture books! Take a look at some of her other titles, then brainstorm ideas for a picture book that you might write. Draw one picture and write a 3 sentence summary of your very own picture book. Day 6 How to Earn Points: - Follow the instructions to complete as many or as few of these activities as you'd like. - Take photos or videos of your completed creations. - Upload them (as well as your trivia answers!) to the weekly Submission Form before Sunday, Feb. 21, 2021. Day 10 Honoring Black Artists Research Black artists of all mediums - visual art, dance, music, poetry, etc. - and make a collage of your favorite pieces. Book Awards Finding Langston is a multi award winning book. Research the awards it has won, then make your own award for it. Come up with the idea, draw a medal, and then attach it to the front of your book or use it as a bookmark.
