Tips for SuccessfulWays to Stay Connected with UBMS (This Fall)To take full advantage of all benefits and services of the program be sure to participate and stay connected. Due to safety precautions the program will be conducted online for the next few months, but we will continue to provide superior programming.
Here are some ways to stay connected with UBMS: Be sure to check your personal email weekly – to receive updates and get information.
Utilize [email protected] to send program activities and information. We may utilize ZOOM, CANVAS, and TEAMS to work with you this Academic Year (Locate your login information to gain access.)

UBMS ProgramsLocal Program (LP) — serving 65 students from Alvarado, Ennis, Venus, and Mansfield Timberview High Schools.
State Program (SP) — serving 75 students from Central, South and West Texas area High Schools including target schools of Banquete, Presidio, Somerset, and University.
Dallas Program (DP) — serving 60 students from Desoto and Cedar Hill High Schools.

Summer Classes and ActivitiesAcademic Classes were held Monday – Friday,
9:00 - 11:50 am, 2:00 - 3:00 pm.
Math class subjects offered included Geometry,
Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, Calculus and science
classes with lab included Chemistry, Physics,
Environmental Science and Anatomy & Physiology.
Other classes included english/writing, research
and literature and foreign languages.
Each participant attended STEM Hall (study hall),
completed program testing and attended student
meetings daily for program updates and tips.
Weekly activities included virtual college and
company tours and job shadowing/mentoring
sessions for career exploration and STEM learning.
Saturday activities held weekly included virtual
museum visits, online tours to places such
as, SeaQuest Aquarium, Disney World, Dallas
Arboretum, and Ruins of Pompeii.
