Help Us Plan for the Future Subscriber Survey Seeks Feedback and Opinions
on Library Services, Patronage, and Resources
If you’re reading this newsletter in print format, chances are you’ve already noticed the accompanying yellow survey insert. When you have a few moments, we hope you’ll fill it out and drop it off at the circulation desk on your next trip to the law library. Subscribers also have the option to respond instant-ly to the survey by following this link: https://scll.typeform.com/to/ UOPLMf or pick up a print copy at the circulation desk. The responses generated from this brief questionnaire are vitally
important to helping us shape the selection of resources and services that are available at the law library for our subscribers. Your feedback and suggestions help us make in-formed decisions on which new print and electronic resources to purchase, which existing resources are underutilized, and what con-tent will appeal to our blog and newsletter readership. In short, think of this survey as an opportunity to customize your future law library experience. Thanks in advance for your input!

New Books
Come see our March/April book dis-play, located on the table at the front of the library, which showcases some of the many Tax Law resources that are available at the library.
Much has been writ-ten on the ins and outs of online legal marketing, but if you’re looking for a guide that real-ly simplifies all the best prac-tices down to the nuts and
bolts, Internet Branding for Lawyers: Building the Client-Centered Website is the book for you. Focusing primarily on branding and web presence, the book distin-guishes itself by comparing the “traditional” approach to branding and website develop-ment (i.e., advertising the firm) to the more practical approach of clearly communicating client services and support. Readers are challenged to think about their online marketing strategy
as a way to attract clients ver-sus just attracting attention. Step-by-step chapters ex-amine key topics, like develop-ing web copy that resonates with clients, how a strong brand can differentiate your services from those of your competitors, and how to han-dle the website development process (hiring a developer versus doing the work in-house). A big strength of this book is its emphasis on what works for different types of law firms. Avoiding a one-size-fits-all ap-proach, a variety of real-world examples have been provid-ed. Special sections have even been included addressing the unique marketing needs and concerns of business attorneys and personal injury attorneys.
Better Branding + Web Appeal = Effective Online Marketing
