Convention of Atlantic Baptist Churches: SUNDAY PRAYER LINK

Today is Palm Sunday! This marks the beginning of Holy Week.

There are 21 Associations in the CABC. Some associations are strug-gling to understand their role in the life of the church and CABC. Many associ-ations come together around chaplain-cy, camps and other ministry that is still vital. Please pray for the Moderators and executive members who give lead-ership in our Associations.

CBM PRAYERLINE EUROPE CBM Field Staff, Rupen & Mamta Da, in the Netherlands, work closely with our European partners and churches amidst the refugee cri-sis. They ask that we pray for the Baptist churches in Ukraine as they address the needs of internally displaced families from the war torn eastern provinces; that they would have the funds and resources and that they would be strengthened as they show the compassion of Christ. As well, pray for the many Baptist churches across Europe, the Balkans and Tur-key as they seek to respond to the needs of the refugees. The churches are facing opposition from some parts of society for helping the refu-gees and migrants. Pray that the churches would understand their role of being prophetic voices in demonstrating what the Kingdom of God looks like and would continue to be stead-fast in "doing good.

LEBANON Please pray for our newest CBM Field Staff in Lebanon, Emad and Almess Botros, particular-ly for their family as their two children continue to adjust to a new school system, and as they grow together spiritually, raising a family and in ministry. Pray for their new monthly small group with students, where they will share and support one another amidst the challenges of ministering in an Islamic context. Also pray for Emad, as he teaches a course at the Arab Baptist Theological Seminary.

CANADA Please remember to pray for your own church and the mission and vision of your church. Mis-sion should be one of the most exciting as-pects of church life. Mission occurs where the gospel of God’s love and grace encounters the needs of the world. Take the time for reflection on how your church is engaging with the wider needs of a broken world, and pray for open-ness to the needs of the world and the leading of God’s spirit.
