TurnOpt™ Series 5000

The Opterna TurnOpt™ Series 5000 is a Fiber Distribution Hub specially designed for high density FDH topologies. Supporting up to 576 subscribers, the Series 5000 features a lightweight compact enclosure for pedestal mounting and Opterna’s exclusive rotating frame housed within. The Opterna TurnOpt™ Series 5000 is available in two standard configurations - stubbed pre-terminated with OSP feeder and distribution cables and stubless with additional compact partition loaded with splice trays for splicing the feeder and distribution cables. All Opterna TurnOpt™ FDH’s are fully loaded with pigtails, adapters and fiber management accessories. A wide variety of the universal Opterna factory pre-terminated MxN PLC splitters are available to use in the Series 5000 FDH.

Universal Mechnical Splice

Opterna’s universal mechanical splice is an reliable, extremely easy-to-install and effective splice solution for all kinds of fiber optical architectures, including Telecommunications, FTTx, LAN and WAN networks.

The solution is indispensable when there is a need for quick repairs and in situations where fusion splicing is un-economical due to the low number of splicing needed in relation to distance, as is often the case in FTTx Networks.

Where mechanical splicing really comes to the fore is in situations where fusion splicing cannot be used due to the risk of explosion and other environmental dangers, including petrochemical plants and other areas where the risk of combustion is prominent.

Introduction

• Quick and easy to install, a splice takes less than 30 seconds once the fiber is stripped and cleaned

• No special tools required, installers only need a standard FO toolkit.

• One solution for 250 and 900μm, Singlemode and Multimode fiber

• Insertion losses are comparable to fusion splicing (typically less than 0.1dB)

Wall Mount Cabinet, Single Section

Opterna single section wall mount cabinet is suitable for applications where security and accessibility is required and floor space is at a premium. The cabinets are designed to hold multiple pieces of voice/data equipment comfortably. Ventilation is provided to allow active equipment to be installed, making it an ideal solution for small LAN’s, retail units and remote sites.

Opterna single section wall-mounted enclosures are designed to hold standard 19” rack mounted equipment and patch panels.

The cabinet features a lockable glass door, adjustable front profiles and removable entry plates at the top and bottom.

Fiber Distribution Box

The Fiber Distribution Box is suitable for various types of installations and can be used inside buildings or for telemetry applications. The FDB can be installed at every floor in the case of MDU and high rise building or can be installed in SDU to terminate the incoming fiber cable and fiber cable leading to the apartments.

The 24/48 port capacity fiber distribution box is designed to provide ample space for fiber optic cable routing, slack management and routing of pigtails and patch cords.

The product series are wall-mounted and easy to use and maintain. It is an integral component in the implementationof fiber networks for residential / commercial and utility segments.

The fiber distribution box are used in backbone, intermediate and horizontal cross connects, equipment room building entrance, telecommunications closets, IT rooms and customer premise applications.
