Zumba with Katie - Katie Krasser Katie Krasser was a keen Zumba enthusiast for some time and was taking classes with another instructor. Being at classes nearly all the time and being told she should save the money an do it herself. This gave her the motivation and Zumba with Katie was born. Katie says she is an average person not a fitness zealot and as such her skills relate to other persons not necessarily fitness fanatics. Average mums, dads and kids. People of all ages. After starting out by hiring various venues around the southern suburbs it became apparent that Zumba with Katie would need its own venue. Now located at Lonsdale the business is a one-stop Zumba studio with a shop and exercise area where customers can call in and see the products at the same venue as the Zumba sessions. There is also an extensive web site with on-line store for those wishing to shop over the Internet.

The Venue The studio has been created to suit Zumba with non-carpet flooring. Carpet in other venues causes feet to stick and is not conducive to a top Zumba experience. Effects lighting and artwork set the theme for the venue with a stage so the instructors can be easily seen. That you must have a passion and love what you are doing or it will show. Being driven in your own business is essential. The next five yearsKatie’s sees Zumba progressing as they are always coming up with new things like Aqua Zumba and personal training. Zumba are very proactive in creating sessions to suit every interest. Zumba is very competitive and keeping up with the latest and having one’s own studio gives Zumba with Katie a leading edge in the industry. INTEREST: Parafield AirshowFrom the web site... The Parafield Airshow is run by a committee made up of unpaid volunteers from a wide variety of backgrounds, including local charities, airport management staff, marketing experts and pilots The purpose of the event is to raise the profile of Parafield Airport and it's contribution to the local community. The flying display will highlight some of the local operators at Parafield and South Australia in general and demonstrate some of the history associated with Parafield airport. Warbird displays will highlight Parafield's military contribution during it's history. The event is not-for-profit and the funds raised from the event will benefit local charities, aviation students and local aviation museums. The airshow will become a biennial event from 2012. 25th March 2012 Come and celebrate the rich aviation history of Parafield with a full day of action packed entertainment for the whole family. See flying displays from historic and modern military, civilian and aerobatic aircraft and helicopters. Ground displays will include many unusual and interesting aircraft that are flying in for the day along with other military and aviation groups.
