WORD FROM THE SENIOR SERVICES

COORDINATOR

A Word from the Director

Well happy winter. January has brought us some frigid

temperatures. However things are heating up with Tracy

Bunch, the leader is looking for volunteers to present an

activity. If you have a special skill or talent, call the office.

Speaking of heating up, we are going to have a hot time

with Jack Lynn when he performs at the Orange Lions

Club Pizza Party. Jack will be doing his Dean Martin show

“Dino’s Back!” and with pizza from the Lions its going to

be a great time!

Dennis Marsh

Senior Services Coordinator

Greetings all, I hope you had a Happy New Year and

enjoyed your January! The cold weather is upon us full

force so be sure to stay warm and dry. I would like to say

thank you again to all who donated and contributed to our

Food and Fuel Bank and to our Holiday Programs. These

programs help Orange residents in need and are maintained

solely by donation and the generosity of individuals,

residents, businesses, organizations and schools. In

February we celebrate “Presidents Day” on the third

Monday of the month. We also have Valentine’s Day on

February 14

th

, when we acknowledge those who are near

and dear to us. Take care and have a wonderful February!

Stop by any time, my door is always open.

Building Renovations and class scheduling

With renovations being performed, we had to move many classes around. This makes scheduling classes tight to one another

with little time to change over. Classes run on a 50 minute hour. This means a 9:00am class starts at 9:05am and ends at

9:55am. So be sure to be ready to start by 9:05am. Class ends at 9:55 to allow for a smooth transition between classes.

Weather Policy: Classes are canceled when the Orange School System closes due to weather. If there is a

school delay then only those classes during the delay are canceled. WTNH 8 is the official station for weather

cancelations. If you have any questions regarding the Senior Center Class policy please feel free to contact

the Senior Center at (203) 891-4784.
