Curriculum: Course of study shall be extended over a period of two academic years withfarrr ooaa-+^-.lv 4 JluavJlla J.

Attendance: Same marks will be awarded for all papers on the basis of the averageattendance of stuclents concerned. The weightage of attendernce for awarcling marks wili beas follolvs:

Scheme of Examination: The examination for the aw-ard of degree shall consist of theoryand practical papers, dissertations and viva-voce. There shall be examination at the end oieach semester except in 4th semester. There shall be three papers of theory and practicalstaken together in each semester. In addition to this a dissertation shall be submitted at the endof the 46 semester. Ai the end of the 46 Semester, there shall also be a general viva-voce.

Dissertation: Each candidate shall submit a dissertation in three copies of a brief researchproject undertaken by hirn/her during the period of the course before registering for the finalexamination. It shall be valued by two examiners (superrising tJacher and externalexanriner) w'ho conduct the external practical examinations at the end of the fourth semester.Marks 150 +50 for viva voce.

Assignments: One assignment for each paper in the form of an essay on any topic withinanv unit of the syllabus, appro'red by the concerned teacher teaching the paper. V/ithin 5marks.

Test papers: A minimum of two tests for each paper of which the best performance r,vill becounted for internal evaluation in each semester. Ivlarks 20

seminars: one seminar for each paper which is romprrrory lvlarks 5.

Viva vocc: Viva voc each semester - end examination. Coveringtopics in that semest long with the practical examination by twJexaminers (externals conducted immediately after the practicalexaminations.

Pass requirements: -The

minimum pass mark for each paper will be 4Oyo witha separateminimum for external evaluation. There will b ,ro ,"p*it" minimum for internal evaluationand no provision for improvement.

Ranking: Only those candidates who pass as the papers in the first appearance within theminimum period will be considered for ranking oo irri basis of total marks received for theentire course.

Promotion to higher semesters: Only a student who has a minimum required attendance(75%) or whose shortage has been condoned by the University for gooa and sufficientreasons and register for the semester examination witl be eligible for piomotion to highersemesters. Students w.ho fail to secure a minimum attendance/ condonation by the Univeisitymay h giren one or more chance to repeat the senoester along rvith the zubsequent batch ofstudents after obtaining re admission. r---- ----- Y-
