CFBC Media Committee - CFBC Members, please join the Media Committee in a salute to the administration and legacy of President Barack Obama as he prepares to leave office in a few months by reading “The Audacity of Hope and Dreams of My Father.” There will be a movie shown at this year’s Block Party to honor him along with a spir- ited panel discussion on the theme “What Has The Obama Presidency Meant To You and Other African American?” Our plans also include collecting your responses to the theme which will be sent to the White House with a resolution or proclamation for the President from CFBC. B.I.G. Campaign - Blessing In Giving (B.I.G.) is Sunday, October 30th. Please give sacrificially in supporting our Blessing In Giving. This offering on every fifth Sunday supports our continuous Capital Improve- ment initiatives. World Day of Prayer - “Arise! Shine!” and join in the Baptist Women’s World Day of Prayer on Monday, November 7th from 6:00 a.m. to 12 Midnight. We are asking individuals to sign-up for 10 min- ute intervals in support of this worldwide initiatives. Sign up in the courtyard. CFBC Steps Out For Diabetes - Join our team in the Diabetes Walk Saturday, November 12th at Turner Field. We need both contribu- tions and walkers to help stop Diabetes. Registration can be completed online go to www.diabetes.org/cfbcteam . Operation Christmas Child Project - We need your support!! This mission effort is to touch the heart of a needy child all over the world with a gift-filled shoe box and “The Good News of Jesus Christ”. This year’s goal is to provide 400 boxes sponsored by WOM #1 and WOM#5. Specific information can be found in the courtyard. The dead- line for all boxes is Sunday, November 13th.
