What is ORSAA?• Financial Aid Application for•Oregon Opportunity Grant•Oregon Promise
• Collects financial data and calculates an EFC for students• ORSAA is OSAC’s solution• Vendor• Also used by Washington

Why ORSAA?• DACA, Dreamers, and undocumented students cannot get an EFC from the FAFSA• Reject 17; citizenship status
• OSAC needs to generate an EFC in order to award OOG• OSAC needs to have students apply for all federal and state aid before they are awarded through Oregon Promise.

ORSAA Review• Familiar with screens• Familiar with questions• They are different than FAFSA!
• Able to help students and families through the form• Know where the potential miscommunications are

Oregon Residency Certification Option A
• Lived in Oregon for the three years before you received a high school diploma• Completed full senior year at an Oregon high school• Continuously resided in Oregon since receiving high school diploma

Oregon Residency Certification Option B
• Earned a GED or high school diploma equivalent• Resided in Oregon for three years immediately before earning high school equivalent• Continuously resided in Oregon since receiving high school equivalent

Permanent Residency Responsibilities
• I will file an application to become a permanent resident of the United States as soon as I am eligible to apply. • I am also willing to engage in activities designed to prepare me for citizenship, including citizenship and civics review courses.
