Purpose of the Organization: The Mission o f the Community Chorus o f Palm Coast is

to build a tradition o f community pride through choral excellence, by providing performances that enrich, educate, and entertain audiences and singers. The chorus (CCPC)

sings a variety o f musical styles, including Broadway, pop, folk, sacred, gospel and classical music. Founded in 2010, the Chorus currendy has 66 members from Palm Coast and the surrounding area.

Program to be considered for funding—Concert Series: CCPC is beginning its sixth season with the first rehearsal on September 22, 2015. The concert schedule this season includes a Holiday Concert on Friday, December 11 and Sunday, December 13, and a Spring

Concert on Friday, April 29 and Sunday, May 1, 2016. The concerts wiU be held at Trinity

Presbyterian Church, Palm Coast. Approximately 900 people attended the performances last year. The concerts are offered free to the public, and we hope to be able to continue this practice so anyone interested in attending will be able to do so. The audience is given the opportunit}^ to make a donation to support the chorus i f they wish.

CCPC performed by invitation at the following community celebrations during the past year:

Veterans Day Ceremony at Heroes Park in November 2014; New York Transit Retirees celebration of the life o f Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at the first Baptist Church in January

2015; and Memorial Day ceremony at Heroes Park in 2015. Members are happy to be part o f these important and meaningful American remembrances.

CCPC is in the preliminary stages o f planning for a small group of its members to perform

in Carnegie Hall in New York Citj over the Memorial Day 2016 weekend. The group will join a chorus o f approximately 300 singers from across the nation for a performance o f

Wequiem, by Gabriel Faufe. They will be thrilled to represent the Community Chorus of Palm Coast in this exciting opportunity.

Concert information also appears in online calendars o f events, such as the ones for the Chamber o f Commerce, the City o f Palm Coast, the county, newspapers and radio stations.
