WORKSHEETS
Worksheets
The objective of teaching ‘Transportation’ to Jr. Kg and Sr. Kg was to make them familiar about the different kinds of transportation in India, Japan, Bhutan and Ethiopia. The teacher had a discussion with students to know their entry knowledge about different modes of transportation. Through power point presentations and video’s children were exposed to the different means of transportation in various countries like India, Japan, Bhutan and Ethiopia. Education through practical experience encourage & create interest in the students. So, kids were taken for a walk around the school to see various vehicles parked in the campus. Students brought transport related objects such as toys, pictures, etc. and share some information about the toys and pictures with their peers. Through this student’s verbal and thinking skills were developed. To develop the psycho-motor skills and mathematical skills by using different shapes, students were given clays to make the models of different means of vehicles.
Children used their creativity and imagination to make the models of transportation. Children actively participated in the quiz competition which helped to evaluate their knowledge & concepts which were taught in the class they also actively participated in role play which encouraged the kids & builds their confidence. Students sorted pictures and prepared the charts in the picture pasting activity on different means of transport it allowed students and teachers to learn and have fun. Students learned that there are different means of transportation which make the life of people easy. If there are no vehicles in the world? How would they come to school? How would your parents travel to their work place? How we would travel from one place to another? We asked the kids to go home and draw the things that they can imagine in such situation in their drawing book. As an activity in charge I have also learned many thing through this project.
