Keisuke

[In Keisuke's Room....]

(Keisuke plays the electric guitar)

(Phone rings)

Keisuke: Ah, that should be Aaron

(He picks the phone up)

Keisuke: Hey Aaron, What's up?Aaron: You still down for Clapham Common?Keisuke: Yeah sure, is Stephen coming?Aaron: I've left texts and called him and he hasn't replied meKeisuke: Well, if your girlfriend died, I don't think you would be acting normalAaron: I know, It happened to my cousin JamesKeisuke: I still can't believe that James is actually deadAaron: Well, its tough at times, but you get on top of itKeisuke: Anyway, sorry for straying off topicAaron: It's cool, so lets say about two at Clapham Common and we can decide fromthere?Keisuke: Yeah thats cool

Aaron: Alright, see you thenKeisuke: Cool man

(Keisuke presses the red button on his phone)

(He goes downstairs)

[In the Kitchen....]

(Keisuke's brother Suzuki is eating cereal)

Suzuki: Finally decide to show up huh?Keisuke: I have no idea what you are talking about

(He looks at Suzuki blankly)

Suzuki: Never mindKeisuke: I didnt in the first place

(He goes to the fridge and takes a coke)

(He walks out the Kitchen)

[Later in Clapham Common...]

(Keisuke sits on a bench listening to his iPOD)

(Aaron taps his shoulder)

Aaron: Liven up dear boy, you look as if life is at its wits endKeisuke: Aha, you joker

(Aaron sits down next to Keisuke)

Keisuke: How's life then, it's been time since we last saw each otherAaron: I know man.... Too long, well it's been nothing specialKeisuke: Nothing special? From what I heard normal life for you is never dull

(Stephen walks upto them)

Stephen: Nothing is never normal

(They look up)

Aaron: Stephen, I thought you would never comeStephen: I wasn't going to come, my mum kicked me out of the house for todayAaron: She kicked you out?Stephen: I haven't spoken or talked anyone for a week, I hadnt bathed for a week,

I had a mountain beard

(They try not to laugh)

Keisuke: I can see you with a mountain beard lol

(Stephen doesn't respond)

Aaron: Stephen, I'm really sorry about Francesca.Stephen: I saw her on their sofa

(Tears run down his face) (He stretches out his hand)

I touched her, she was so HOT. Then she vanished

Aaron: If she's gone, me and my friends will find her, do you understand me Stephen?I will not stop till she is found

(Stephen sits down)

Stephen: Thank you, that means so much to meAaron: What are best friends for?Keisuke: YeahStephen: Keisuke you seem down?

Keisuke: I got my results from the hospitalStephen: Oh, I forgot manKeisuke: I've got cancer

(Aaron and Stephen look shocked)

Stephen: Keisuke . How?Keisuke: Please don't make me explainStephen: Of course notAaron: How? (He stops)Keisuke: Don't worry, I have eight months leftStephen: I Keisuke: Look lets not fuss and become all solemn and sad, the world is not over andI am still here, so let's make the most of the time that is left to have as much fun aspossible right?

(They look at him)

Stephen & Aaron: Yeah rightKeisuke: If you want to know how I have it, its hereditary. My Grandfather had anddied of cancer, but the doctors say the cancer cell in my body has activated wayearlier than expectedStephen: I known you since we were in year two, I refuse to accept this

(Keisuke stands up)

Keisuke: It's alright guys you saying that you don't accept this, but I do, I HAVE tobecause I am the one that is going to die

(He looks at Aaron)

and you most you of all Aaron should know what that feels like

Aaron: Yeah I do, and it's the worst thing you will ever experience. But I can say thisKeisuke, we will be there every step of the way, whatever you need, consider itdone, we are your best friends Keisuke, we are there to the endKeisuke: Thanks guys, that means a lot

(Aaron and Stephen get up from the bench)

Aaron: Now, I think Clapham Picturehouse are still showing some good films, can'tremember any off the top of my head, wanna check them outStephen: Anything to make this shit day any betterKeisuke: Yeah I agree

(They walk away)

Aaron: Well apart from Keisuke's news and Stephen your..... yeah you are right, thisis a shit day.

(Keisuke and Stephen laugh)

[Alice Springs, Desert Springs Northern Territory, Australia .]

[Francesca lies in the sand...]

(Wind blows sand into her face)

(She regains consciousness)

Francesca: Where the hell am I?

(She gets up from the ground)

(She falls immediately back down

on the ground again)

Francesca: Ahh, my ankle

(She feels dizzy)

I feel dizzy, I think Im gonna .. I think Im gonna

(She falls on her back)

[In a passing car.....]

Driver: Honey, I think I just saw someone fall over

(He stops the car and gets out)

OVER HERE!!!!!!

(The man's wife runs over to him)

Wife: She's out cold, looks like she fainted

Man: Her clothes, it looks like she's been in Hospital

(His wife looks at Francesca)

Wife: Well we can't leave her here, so lets take her home, at least she will be safeMan: Good idea

(He picks Francesca up and takes her to the car)

Wife: Where do you suppose she has come from?Man: No idea love, No idea

(They drive off)

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM

[In Keisuke's room: Later that evening .]

(Door knocks)

Keisuke: Come in

(Door opens)

Keisuke's Mum: Keisuke, You ok?Keisuke: Yeah mum, I'm fine

(She looks at him)

Keisuke's Mum: I cannot believe you can go around as if nothing has happened

Keisuke: But nothing has happenedKeisuke's Mum: You have cancer!Keisuke: Ssshh!! You want dad and Suzuki to knowKeisuke's Mum: They have to know sometimeKeisuke: I don't want to worry them, when the time comes I will tellKeisuke's Mum: Your grandfather died of the same cancer you have nowKeisuke: I know its hereditary, but I am not having chemotherapyKeisuke's Mum: BUT YOU WILL DIE IF YOU DONTKeisuke: Then so be it

(Keisuke's mum gets up and walks out the room)

(Keisuke switches on his laptop)

[In Alice Springs, Desert Springs Northern Territory, Australia .]

(Francesca wakes up) (She looks around)

Francesca: Where am I?

(She spots pictures of Stephen on the wall)

Francesca: Stephen!

(The couple who found Francesca walk in)

Man: You know Stephen?Francesca: Yeah, I do . He's my boyfriend

(The couple stare at each other)
