PhysiotherapyOur team of skilled physiotherapists and exercise physiologists work with patients to improve their function, mobility, range of movement and muscle strength for everyday activities. They also work with patients on their overall fitness, providing education, encouragement and support. Exercise physiologists work with patients to optimise their physical condition in preparation for a return to work or sport. Additionally, they help patients transition back into exercising in the community, whether it to be the gym, pool or returning to bike riding.

Some patients also participate in aquatic physiotherapy (also called hydrotherapy), or exercise in warm water. Therapy in the pool allows early return to weight bearing and walking after injury. It is the ideal environment to work on cardiovascular fitness, improve strength and joint range of motion, relieve pain and the warmth promotes muscle relaxation.

Diet and nutritionGood nutrition is essential to promote recovery following an injury. Our dietitians work with patients to develop tailored nutrition plans taking into consideration appetite, dietary intake, body weight and the body’s increased nutritional requirements for healing. Our dietitians can also provide specific dietary and lifestyle advice for optimal health and wellbeing.
