Distinguish Platforms.Start off with the basics: Twitter and Facebook. What is the difference? Updates on Twitter are limited to 140 characters therefore they are quick and easy to read. Facebook, however, gives you the ability to be flexible and go into more depth with your content. Another platform to consider is Instagram; the more visible your content is, the more your audience is invested in your posts!

Be Active. After distinguishing your organization’s social media platforms, keep them active! Showcase to your online audience what your organization is all about with live updates from events and happenings. Now is your time to brag about why individuals should join your organization and also have your current members show their organization pride.

Does your student organization have an online presence through social media? Follow these small tips on how social media can be used as an asset to your organization.
