T2000 Interfaces
CORBA interface is one of the standard interfaces, by which T2000
can communicate with the NMS developed by other vendors.
MML interface is one of the interfaces used between EMS and NMS. It
can transfer all kinds of information which include report,
querying, and management etc. The interface between T2100 and T2000
is MML.
The simple network management protocol (SNMP) is one of the
standard interfaces used in the industry. Through the SNMP
interface, the iManager T2000 can connect to the carriers’ or other
vendors’ upper level management system.

Client-Server Structure
The client of T2000 implement the WSF function of TMN, by which the
user can operate and manage any transaction on the network.
The server of T2000 implement the OSF function of TMN, save the
network data, provide performs all kinds of management function on
the network.
The client and server of T2000 can be installed on PC or SUN
workstation. Both the client and server can be installed on Windows
or Solaries system, but usually the client is running on the
Windows system.
Enables at most 32 concurrent clients to log in.
T2000 V200R002C01B01hSP02 UNIX version can be:
Installed on SUN Solaris 10 + Sybase 12.5.
Upgraded on SUN Solaris 8 (04/02 patch4) + Sybase 12.0.

T2000 server includes 4 processes: EMS, Schedulesrv, Security and
Topo.
Sysmonitor process monitors database server process and some other
Corba processes either.

Processes Function
Every client of T2000 has its own process: client process. And the
server have four processes, they are EMS, Schedulesrv, Security and
Topo.
Ems Serverthe process is to manage the circuit, MIT (Managed Object
Instance Tree ) and PM (Persistence Mechanism) which are the shared
parts used by all the modules of server, and the adapter can
implement the communication of all kinds of protocol.
Schedulesrv server: the process is to manage the timing
tasks.
Security Serverthe process is to implement the system security
management, including user management, user group management,
domain management and log data management etc.
Topo Serverthe process is to manage topo data, manage different
views.

Optimized NMS alarm
Change “GNE communication interruption alarm” and “NE communication
interruption alarm” to “NE communication interruption alarm”, and
add “Gateway connection failure alarm”.
Optimized abnormal events filter
Optimized user-defined diagrams
The typeface and contents of the SVG networking diagram can be
set.
Optimized alarm browse interface
The changed path name of the PMU board is shown.
Alarm suppression can be accessed through the shortcut menu.
The board can be sequenced or queried individually in the alarm
list.
The style of alarm display is optimized: The alarm display does not
change colours for the whole line, but only for the severity
column. Icons are used to present the acknowledgement status (The
icons are not displayed in the alarm list by default. The user
needs to display them by customizing the list). The background
colour of the cleared alarms is light green, except that of the
severity column.
The line number prompt is added in the Save As dialogue box.
Optimized performance browse interface
Improve the settings of filter conditions in the performance browse
interface: the most recently set conditions are shown and thus the
user does not need to set them again when selecting a board.
The lower level of root is folded by default in the navigation tree
when you enter the interface for the first time.

Optimized Main Topology
All Object Trees support a fuzzy search based on NE name.
The optical NE icon displays the gateway NE identifier.
When the user queries the NE attributes, the IP information of the
gateway NE that the queried NE belongs to can be displayed.
The NE Panel displays the extended area by default in case boards
are installed in the extended subrack.
The board view unfolds to the lower level objects of the port by
default.
Optimized T2000 security
The privileges of NM users and user groups are shown in a list that
can be printed and saved to file.
When the T2000 switches to the single-user mode, other T2000
clients are locked out instead of being exited, and resume when
switching back to the multi-user mode.
This function provides support for exporting the security and
operation logs.
This function provides support for login restrictions. When a user
fails to log in for three consecutive times, the T2000 client will
be forced to exit and be locked out for a period.
This function supports invalid login records.
Provides support for managing at most 2000 NM users.
This function tightens the regulations of the user ID and
password.
This function disables the user ID automatically for not logging in
for a long time.
The function enhances the user management. The user is forced to
modify the password when the user logs in for the first time or if
the password is reset.
Optimized DCN management
The number of non-gateway NEs connected to each gateway NE is
displayed in the DCN management interface.
Optimized optical power management
Provides support for modifying the input and output reference value
of the optical power.
NE cross-connect configuration
Provides support for switching between the Huawei and Lucent
timeslots in the T2000 user interface.
Adding the number of the clients supported
Enables at most 32 concurrent clients to log in.
Optimized T2000 database management
The user does not need to enter the single user mode to back up the
MO. The backup has no effect on the T2000 operation.
Northward SNMP interface supported
Supports SNMP v1, v2c and v3. Provides support for reporting
alarms, synchronising alarms and filtering the alarm reporting
through the SNMP interface. Licence is required to enable this
function.
Optimized alarm remote notification
The short message notification function supports new Nokia phones
such as Nokia 6610 and Nokia 7210

The T2000 provides support for the management of the RPR ring
network. An RPR ring can be created, deleted, and searched. RPR
ring protection parameters and link parameters can be managed. RPR
ring topology can be displayed through a view.
Ethernet trail management based on RPR ring
The T2000 provides support for the management of EVPL and EVPLn
based on RPR. Services can be deleted, activated, deactivated,
searched and managed from end to end.
Ethernet QinQ private line configuration
The boards supported are N1EMS4 and N1EGS4.
Ethernet Link aggregation group configuration
The boards supported are N1EMS4 and N1EGS4.
Ethernet port queue shaping configuration
The boards supported are N1EMS4 and N1EGS4.
Link capacity expansion
The T2000 provides the wizard to guide the user step by step
through the process of optical fibre rate upgrade, preparing for
the capacity expansion of MSP subnets and linear MSP subnets. For
example, an STM-16 MSP ring can be expanded to an STM-64 one.

Dynamic adjustment of MSP link capacity.
New multiplex section commands and status for an MSP ring.

Provides support for the alarm function related to trunk links and

Optimized overhead bytes management
A new overhead processing mode is added for the read/write control
of CTP/TTP overhead bytes.
Preconfigured circuit batch cutover
In the process of rebuilding the T2000 circuit, this function
enables the user to flag the circuit that needs cutover and to
preconfigure the new circuit. The user can also specify the time of
automatic cutover, by when the system automatically cuts over the
former circuit to the new circuit.
The NE software upload and download supported
This function provides support for:
Loading the NE software and board software
Backing up and restoring the configuration data and the data
packet
Loading the patch software

The main difference of license between V2 and V1 is that the number
