PARISH MISSION STATEMENT

Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, a Roman Catholic Community immersed in its Slovak heritage, proclaims the Good News of Jesus Christ to those we encounter. Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we build up the Kingdom of God by our expression of Faith through our experience of culture. We share the Good News through proclamation, catechesis, ongoing conversion and service to others, especially the poor and disadvantaged.

Slovak Fest Raffle returns are coming in.

If you would like additional tickets please

call the parish office or stop by the office

during regular business hours.

We began accepting basket raffle bas-

kets and donations on July 1. Please

bring your baskets to the parish office or

to Mass with you on the weekend. Slovak

Fest has enjoyed a wonderful basket raf-

fle tradition thanks to many generous

parishioners.

Friends of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish

The purpose of The Friends of Our Lady

of Sorrows Parish is to have a visual re-

minder of our beloved deceased not only

on special days such as birthdays and an-

niversaries but also throughout the entire

year.

On the first weekend of each month, a

Mass is celebrated for the repose of the

souls of The Friends of Our Lady of

Sorrows Parish. Friends who are re-

membered are not necessarily parishion-

ers of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish and

membership to The Friends of Our La-

dy of Sorrows Parish is annual.

Rectory Garage Sale

We will hold our annual Rectory Gar-

age Sale on Friday, July 17 10 am to

4 pm, and on Saturday, July 18 from

9 am to noon. Please check out our

bargain-busting inventory!

Take-Away Dinners

Our parish will be offering a delicious

grilled pork tenderloin dinner on Fri-

day, July 17 for carry out only. Din-

ners include grilled pork tenderloin

with bourbon cherry sauce, potatoes

au gratin, and green beans for

$10.00, and may be picked up at the

rectory garage from 4 to 5 pm on Fri-

day, July 17. Call the parish office to

reserve your dinner by Thursday, July

16.
