SECOND COLLECTION
Next Sunday, 28 April, there will be a Second Collection for the maintenance of St. George’s Cathedral, Southwark. This is the mother church of the diocese: the collection helps to meet the cost of the upkeep of the cathedral.
FEEDING THE HUNGRY IN THANET
Many people in Thanet go without food on a daily basis. In the church porch there is a box for tins of food. This is taken to St. Austin’s, Margate where the tins are distributed.
Another way you can help is to put spare cash into the SAB (St. Anthony’s Bread) box at the back of the church. This money is given to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul—the SVP—who use these funds to help people in need in Thanet.
MASS OFFERING ENVELOPES
If you would like a Mass to be offered here at Our Lady’s please use one of the manila Mass Offering envelopes at the back of the church. Please write the details on the envelope in BLOCK CAPITAL letters.
If you want a Mass to be offered on a particular day or at a specified time for one of the Sunday Masses it is advisable to return the Mass Offer-ing envelope at least two months in advance. If the intention of the Mass you requested has not yet been offered please rest assured it will be at the earliest opportunity.
