• Gain valuable experience through a field-based practicum

• Learn theories, models and techniques of counseling with individuals, groups and families

• Explore applied research methods in human services

• Additional certificates for Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and Drug and Alcohol Counselor are options for students

Graduates who earn this degree are prepared to hold jobs in a wide variety of settings including mental health facilities, corrections, halfway houses, child and family service centers, and geriatric facilities.
