Our Mission NPH USA transforms the lives of vulnerable children in Latin America and the Caribbean by supporting the homes, health services and educational programs of Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos (NPH, Spanish for “Our Little Brothers and Sisters”). Together, we help children overcome poverty and become leaders in their own communities.

Founded in 1954, NPH is currently supporting more than 6,300 boys and girls in Bolivia, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua and Peru. In addition, our community outreach programs serve thousands of people each year.

Our children have daily chores, such as dusting or farming. This teaches them responsibility and they find pride in helping their family in this way.

Our children are given a quality education and have the opportunity to pursue a trade or university degree.

Our children give back a year or more of service to share the responsibility of raising the family.

HOMES: We provide a safe and loving home environment to our children.

FOOD & HEALTH CARE: Every child receives a health check and vaccines, treatments and therapies as needed, and three healthy meals a day.

EDUCATION: We provide children with a variety of educational opportunities, from Montessori preschool through university, as well as vocational trade certifications.

SUSTAINABILITY: Our homes strive to be as self-sufficient as possible to help lower expenses, teach children valuable skills, and reduce impact on the environment.

GIRLS’ EMPOWERMENT: We educate, support, and empower women and girls to realize their fullest potential.
