Our project started in contact seminar in Madrid in November 2009
• An aim of the project was to study colours, sweeteners and calories in food products
• But also to get acquainted with other countries, cultures, languages, food…
At the first meeting in Romania in November 2010 we introduced our
schools,
offered local sweets
and enjoyed good time with visiting local sights
At the meeting in Sicily in January 2011 we visited pasta factory
and bakery
For this meeting all schools studied sweets and questionned
students about their favourite ones
We were introduced Sicilian culture
but we also enjoyed Sicilian ice-cream
For the meeting in Turkeyin April 2011
all schools studied drinks and questionned students about their
favourite ones
There we had a workshop for dying yarn with food colours
We enjoyed Turkish culture and music
as well as great weather and boating
At the meeting in Madrid in October 2011
different workshops were carried out
For this meeting we created a film about our favourite yoghurt or ice-
cream
We enjoyed local food and visited yoghurt factory Danone
At the meeting in Greece in January 2012
all schools created educational games,
made and decorated gingerbread
and made national food from partner countries
We also enjoyed culture and sportsin the Olympic stadium
At the meeting in Latvia we explored Riga´s old town and
visited bread factory Lāču Maize
Of course we enjoyed Latvian cuizine and culture
At the meeting in Estonia we are visiting Saku Brewery,
get acquainted with the history of Estonia,Paide and Tallinn old town
Beside of that all schools visited factories in their countries and
organized Comenius days
According to the questionnaires it was found out that students´ favourite sweet was chocolate,
favourite drink Coke
favourite ice-cream chocolate ice-cream
And…• We also got acquainted with dangerous
food additives like synthetical food colours and sweeteners
• We try not to eat too high-calorie food any more
