Keeping fit in Madrid!
It can be hard to stay in shape in this city full of
delicious food but here are some ideas!
Running in Retiro
Running through the park, you’ll lose yourself in the maze of paths but don’t
worry: you’ll probably end up at the stunning lake
found right in the middle – from there you can get your
bearings!
On a beautiful, sunny morning in Madrid there
aren’t many better things to do than to run through this
world-famous park!

For those of you who are more advanced, you’ll be able to explore more of
the city by following some of the bike paths – a
faster and healthier way to see Madrid!
If you’re a beginner skater,you may want to head to the
more open spaces of the parkslike Retiro! It’s a different andmore exciting way of burning
those calories!
Play a game of football!
As you probably know,football is very important in
Spain and we encourage youto not just watch it, but to
get involved and play as well!
There are a number of placesin the city that organize 5,
6 or 7 a side games so get a team together with yourfriends and get playing!
Join a gym!
As in any city, there are hundredsof gyms to choose from, maybeeven too many! The best way to
choose is to go with the oneclosest to where you’re staying – that way you’re more likely to go!!
Get a couple of friends to go with you and you’ll find it much easier! Going to the gym and keeping in shape will make you feel
much better about yourself!
