OUR STORYBORN AT THE LAKE OF THE OZARKS - RAISED IN IOWA

Wobbly Boots Roadhouse BBQ was created by Mark and Brian Barrett ten years

ago at the Lake of the Ozarks, along with Dog Days Bar & Grill and Shorty Pants

Lounge & Marina. They have owned and operated all three restaurants for more

than 20 years.

How Wobbly Boots came to be in Clive, IA, is a unique story. Mark and Brian were

raised in Osceola, IA, as was their partner in the Clive restaurant, JR Sheffer. JR

and his wife, Heather, created and operated The Sports Page Grill in Indianola,

Winterset, Pella, and Ankeny for more than a decade. After selling The Sports Page

Grill to their longtime manager, JR and Heather began to spend more time at the

Lake of the Ozarks. Although they loved all of Mark and Brian's restaurants, they

had a special fondness for Wobbly Boots Roadhouse.

The three boys have been close friends for better than 35 years, so when JR

suggested they partner and open in Clive, Mark and Brian were more than eager

as their roots still run deep in Iowa. We are not a chain. We are unique. Only two

exist, one at the Lake and the other here in Clive.

Our design of the exterior and interior were a collaboration of all partners, trying

to stay as close to the look of the Wobbly Boots at the lake. Our food is all

homemade, from our GREAT smoked bbq to our hand pattied burgers, to our

famous giant tenderloins, to the smoked meatloaf; everything is made right here

at our restaurant. Since we are one of only two restaurants, we can control what

is on our menu and are proud of everything we serve.

We are happy to serve only the highest quality food in a great atmosphere with a

pleasant staff. Just some life long friends doing something they love and the result

is Wobbly Boots Roadhouse, Clive, Iowa. As the title says born at the Lake of the
