NHS Officer Applications are due to Ms. Browning by 3:00 on April 10th. See her if you need a form.
All NHS members need to bring in candy for the Easter Egg Hunt by March 25th. Candy should be able to be stuffed into eggs.
Pendleton County FFA was well represented at the Northern KY regional FFA day.
30 students competed and 20 of those will go on to compete at the state level in June.

Congratulations to PCHS KUNA students for their performance at the year’s conference. Zach R. and Jacob N. had their resolution for Panama pass and be endorsed by the secretary general. Our delegation was awarded: Outstanding Placard for our country sign for Guatemala created by Morgan S., Delegation of Excellence Honors, and Maya L. was named an Outstanding Ambassador.

The Summer Enrichment Program is a four-week health careers residential camp hosted by the University of Kentucky Area Health Education Center that allows students to ‘experience college before college.’ It is for high school students who are seriously considering a college major leading to a health profession. It provides an opportunity to learn about the variety of careers in health professions and to learn some of the requirements for majors leading to a health career. Academic course work is also part of the camp

Attention seniors interested in Dentistry or Medicine---the Professional Education Preparation Program (PEPP) Pre-College Summer Residential Workshop will be held at the University of Louisville from June 7 – July 2, 2015. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO ATTEND U of L FOR UNDERGRAD TO PARTICIPATE IN PEPP. You will receive academic enrichment in challenging freshman level sciences, one-on-one advising (that continues throughout college), 5 days of clinical observations in areas of interest, career exploration, networking opportunities, and much more! Above all, PEPP prepares you to make the transition to college and pave a road to success in the pre-health

Two scholarship opportunities for your seniors:
1. The first scholarship is "Aspiring Fashion Professional" Scholarship. This is a $1,000 scholarship that will be awarded to students that are interested in pursuing a fashion degree at an accredited post-secondary school or

located at the bottom of the page and click on it.
2. The 2nd Scholarship is the "Aspiring Animation Professional" Scholarship Program. This is the 4th year we are awarding this scholarship for AnimationCareerReview.com. We are offering high school seniors the opportunity to win a $1,000 scholarship. This will be awarded to students that are interested in pursuing an animation career path at an accredited post-secondary school or college. We ask that you have interested students visit our website, http://www.animationcareerreview.com/ to find eligibility information along with the online application. The scholarship will be on the right side of the page and click on it.
The deadline for both scholarships is June 1, 2015.
FACULTY: For those who chose a LivingWell plan you need to complete your LivingWell promise? It can be done one of two ways: Vitality Check (biometric screening) or the online Health Assessment (same as last year). The deadline to complete the LivingWell Promise is before May 1.

As I often mention, copyright law forbids us to show entire movies to groups even if we are using those movies for curriculum requirements; however, we do subscribe to a license that allows us to show many movies without violating copyright law. The Anthony Muñoz Foundation, through The Scholarship Fund, is providing a $20,000 scholarship to seven seniors in the Tri-State area. Qualifications include:

ACT
Let us help you before you take your ACT examination and learn specific strategies that lend themselves well to sections of the ACT College entrance exam. Learn these strategies in Math, English and Test Taking Tips to improve your ACT score. You will practice answering sample ACT questions during the class. Brown Mackie College announces $5,000 President's Scholarship Program. BMC is excited to offer scholarship opportunities to students looking for post-secondary education in the fields of business, health care, legal studies, and technology. This year they will be awarding two (2) $5,000 tuition scholarships for the 2015-2016 academic year. Applications are available in the Counseling Office. Students must be admitted to BMC by May 1st to be eligible.
The Gatton Academy of Math & Science is the Commonwealth's first residential high school for students interested in pursuing advanced careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Students take all their coursework through Western KY University with regularly enrolled college students. This academy empowers KY's exceptional young scientists and mathematicians to live and learn in an environment which offers advanced educational opportunities, preparing them for leadership roles.
