ABS (ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM) WITH EBD (ELECTRONIC BRAKE-FORCE DISTRIBUTION) AND BAS (BRAKE ASSIST SYSTEM)During hard braking and on slippery roads, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) helps prevent wheel lock and maintains steering control. EBD (Electronic

Brake-force Distribution) evenly distributes braking force to all the wheels, regardless of passenger number, luggage load or road conditions.

BAS (Brake Assist System) monitors normal driving patterns and is able to distinguish normal braking and a panicked stop – when it loads the brakes

with hydraulic pressure in milliseconds, delivering more stopping power sooner.

ACTIVE STABILITY CONTROL (ASC)ASC helps you maintain traction on the most slippery or rugged of surfaces. This intelligent system automatically controls the engine output,

preventing the wheels from spinning. By sensing a loss of traction in an independent wheel, it applies braking force to that wheel and sends extra

power and torque to the other wheels with traction to keep you moving.

Electronically controlled on demand 4WD with 4WD Eco mode, 4WD Auto and 4WD Lock mode. Three driving modes are available to balance fuel economy and driving performance.

4WD ECO：FUEL-EFFICIENT MODENormally driving is performed using 2WD, which allocates torque to the front wheels. The car quickly detects when road

conditions are slippery and contributes to stable driving by implementing 4WD which allocates torque to the rear wheels.

4WD AUTO：NORMAL MODE4WD capability for varied road conditions, perfect for dry asphalt roads, wet roads and muddy roads.

4WD LOCK MODE This mode provides the rough ground covering ability of four-wheel drive. This mode is excellent for driving on worn-out roads and

escaping when the vehicle is stuck. Even on normal roads, this mode achieves the powerful driving of four-wheel drive from

low speeds to high speeds.

PRECISION HANDLING ON ANY TERRAIN

Designed for enhanced performance, MIVEC switches between higher and lower cam profiles as engine speed increases or decreases, ensuring higher fuel efficiency under general operating conditions and optimal torque at low speeds with high-loads .

This compact engine alters the intake valve timing to optimise engine output across wide rpm range, producing high torque at low rpm and more top-end power for highway cruising. This superior technology keeps you in control no matter the driving conditions, gives you excellent fuel efficiency and has low emissions.

BLUETOOTH WITH HANDSFREE VOICE CONTROL

In the 21st century, you need to be connected wherever you

are, including on the road. Stay safe and in control with

Bluetooth and Handsfree Voice Control – both integrated

into the Outlander’s Multi-function Steering Wheel so

you’ll never have to take your hands off the wheel again.

ELECTRIC TAILGATE

The Outlander’s electric tailgate automatically opens and

closes with a touch of a button - there’s no need for you to

put down that golf bag or shopping. The tailgate can also be

opened from the driver’s seat by using a switch, so you won’t

have to exit the vehicle.

CVT TRANSMISSION

The INVECS-III CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission)

with 6-step Sports Mode delivers effortless acceleration

from any speed, smoother gear changes and a smoother ride.

By keeping the engine in its optimum power range at all times,

CVT provides improved fuel efficiency (8.2 litres per 100km*)

and lower exhaust emissions.

REAR VIEW CAMERA

The Rear View Camera supplements the driver’s rear field of

view by automatically appearing on screen when reverse gear

is engaged. This is especially helpful when reversing into

tight and dark parking spaces.

Long drives are a pleasure for passengers in the Outlander

thanks to the 9” Display and built-in DVD Player mounted

on the interior roof, controlled from the system panel or

via remote from the rear seats. The system supports

wireless headphones.

TOUCH SCREEN AUDIO DISPLAY SYSTEM

Through a high definition touch screen, the Onboard

Entertainment System not only allows you to control the

entertainment and information features, but the Outlander’s
