Mandate from Planning Profession Act, 2002:
• Registration of persons and qualifications necessary to register;
• Accreditation of planning schools, and determination of a framework for continuing education and training;
• Maintain high standards of professional conduct and integrity;
• Protecting the public from unethical planning practices, • Transforming the planning profession to ensure its
legitimacy and effectiveness.

• Comment period during 2015. The draft documents as well as approved documents had been available on the SACPLAN website since 2015.
