What’s INAZUMA?In the past, Sony has used various tools such as : e-mail, FTP, other Internet services…etc to share the technical information in the phase of design & engineering or production.

In order meet the above challenges, the following direction was *instituted on September 27th, 2010 by the CIO.1. To share technical information in the phase of design & engineering or production with business

partners, it’s necessary to use a secure method that ensures information security.2. It’s also necessary to keep evidences and latest information on the above mentioned information

sharing for ensuring traceability.

INAZUMA’sTargets

According to direction above, INAZUMA activities are carried out as follows.1. Ensuring information security (based on Sony Group security policies.)2. Keeping evidences; recording operation histories and managing latest information3. Managing business partner codes

Providing systems that support sharing technical information with business partners in the phase of design & engineering or production is also one of the INAZUMA activities.

However, there were fear that implementation of tools mentioned above may have risks and problems regarding issues below.1. Risks of information leakage 2. Loss of locations and operation histories of latest documents; meaning lack of evidence.3. Lack of care on management of deliverables such as design & engineering documents and

product information.

Preparations Requirements

• Conclusion of the INAZUMA SYSTEM USER AGREEMENT is needs in order to use the INAZUMA Certified Systems.

• The main articles in this agreement is on compliance in using the Systems that we are providing. • We ask your head of IS or business representative person who can bear the security responsibilities

to be the signer of this agreement covering your headquarter, affiliates, and subsidiaries.

• Basic information such as official name and address will be needed for registration upon using the INAZUMA Certified Systems.

• Such basic information on the business partner will be asked to be provided.• For the registration, an “Inkanshomei” (an officially registered seal) will be needed for

business partners located in Japan, or a the registration form will need a signature of a manager if located overseas.

InformationSecurity Audit

• Please keep all users of INAZUMA Certified Systems in your company informed about [INAZUMA SYSTEM Security Guideline] defined in the [INAZUMA SYSTEM USER AGREEMENT].

• In order to review the current information security practices and handling of confidential information in our business partners, we periodically ask them to cooperate in filling out a security check sheet.

• INAZUMA Head Office may also request for an on-site security Audit in your facility in certain cases and ask for evidences. Understanding and cooperation for the audit will be appreciated.

• S-Cabinet is a secure document storage system provided by Sony for sharing technical information between business partners and Sony.

• Documents can be downloaded/uploaded through the web browser as long as the internet environment is prepared. There is no additional cost needed in using the new system.
