Where does mediation come in?

• Making a deal about behaviours in the workplace: an ‘ABC’behaviours are agreed, even if thoughts and feelings are still at odds
• Lessening the public acrimony and the ‘he said, she said’ so that others feel less of a need to take sides/factions
• Allowing a robust and private dialogue to happenclearing the air between the couple, so that they can come to work and get on with the job
When and how should mediation be used?

• As soon as conflict arises, whether the romance is ongoing or has already ended
• It must be voluntary, confidential, and mediated by someone impartial
• Can be an external mediator or an internal mediator with no ongoing direct connection with either of the parties
