Thank you for purchasing your Isuzu truck.
Properly used and maintained it should give you good fuel economy and great reliability.
Regular maintenance, in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations, is essential to ensure the safe, economical and environmentally acceptable operation of your vehicle.
You have a legal responsibility to ensure that the vehicle is kept in a roadworthy condition at all times. In particular, holders of “Operator’s Licences” must honour the declaration, which they give to the Traffic Commissioner, that their vehicle will be operated in a sound mechanical condition.
Everyday routine checks as listed in the owners handbook, e.g. oil & coolant levels, are important but you must also arrange regular services in accordance with Isuzu Truck UK’s service recommendations. The schedule and recommended intervals of time and mileages have been devised to ensure that preventative maintenance reduces costs of repair or replacement, whilst the benefits and economy can be significant.
We recommend that an Isuzu truck service dealer is appointed to be responsible for the maintenance of your vehicle. Our dealers have fully trained staff who will service and repair your vehicle using only genuine Isuzu parts.

Regular and effective servicing of your vehicle is the best guarantee of reliability. The Isuzu servicing program has the following objectives:
1. Keeping the vehicle on the road, safe and fully operational reducing downtime.
2. Maintaining exhaust emission controls reducing the effects on the environment and to give you optimum fuel economy.
3. Maintaining higher residual trade-in values.
4. Freedom from breakdowns.
5. Assuring your satisfaction that your Isuzu vehicle is maintained to the highest standards.
The inspection and services are given as a guide for vehicles operating under normal conditions. Severe or arduous conditions will result in shorter service and inspection periods. In some conditions it may be necessary to consider services and inspections to be carried out on a time basis rather than the conventional mileage interval.
We recommend that you arrange your services with your local Isuzu truck dealer. They will advise the servicing needs in line with your own specific operation. They have the equipment, tools, Isuzu trained staff who with their experience and technical back up will ensure your vehicle is thoroughly maintained in accordance with Isuzu recommendations, keeping up with the latest technology.
The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for damage caused by driver errors or failure to adhere to the Isuzu recommendations made in the driver’s handbook, particularly regarding the usage of oils that do not conform to the specifications advised therein.

We recommend that your Isuzu vehicle is serviced by your local Isuzu Truck UK dealer. However, if you decide to get your vehicle serviced elsewhere, in order to validate the warranty you must ensure you follow the guidance provided in this booklet.
Following a service of your Isuzu vehicle, confirmation of the work carried out must be entered in the service panels of this booklet.
ALWAYS ENSURE THE CONFIRMATION HAS BEEN ENTERED AND THE PERSON UNDERTAKING THE SERVICE HAS STAMPED/ENDORSED THE PANEL AND DETAILS.
You will need the vehicle history to be presented should a Warranty claim arise as evidence that your vehicle has been serviced in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations. This includes both a Validation Form (overleaf) and one of the full service sheets at the end of this booklet.
Failure to comply could result in delay or possible rejection of Warranty claims.

THE DPD REGENERATE OPERATION
• The DPD purifies particulate matter (PM) in exhaust gases.
• The DPD collects PM in the DPD filter and when PM is collected in the filter to the predetermined level, the DPD automatically burns PM (regenerates the filter).
• The operating condition of the DPD appears on the multi-information display, as shown on the left.
PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE DRIVING OFF.
DPD Regeneration Instructions.

DPD Manual Regeneration ProcedureDPD MANUAL REGENERATE PROCEDURE
• When the ‘PUSH DPD SWITCH’ (amber) message is flashing, the DPD needs to be manually regenerated.
• Perform manual regeneration of the DPD while parking the vehicle after the day’s operation, for example...
1. Stop the vehicleat a safe place free of flammable materials such as dead grass or wastepaper.
3. Run the engine at idle.• Return the idling control knob fully counterclockwise to decrease the engine
speed when the engine speed has been increased using the knob.
• Turn off the PTO switch.
2. Place gearshift lever into the ‘N’ position and firmly engage the parking brake.
4. Press the DPD switch.• The engine speed is automatically increased to start regeneration.
The ‘PUSH DPD SWITCH’ message (amber) will stop flashing and change to a steady ‘MANUAL REGEN’ message (amber).
• When the ‘MANUAL REGEN’ message (amber) goes out, regeneration is completed. Normal driving is then possible.
The shape and location of the switch may differ depending on the specification (steering wheel location) of your vehicle.
For details on the method of use, refer to the owner’s and driver’s manual.
