Gondwana Indigenous Choir

Last Friday our students in Years 4-6 were invited to participate in a workshop and the Aboriginal stu-dents were invited to audition for the Gondwana Indigenous Choir. This was the first time our students were involved and the workshop presenters were particularly impressed. In fact eleven of our students were invited to take part in a weekend workshop. The presenters were extremely impressed with the enthusiasm of our students, their excellent behaviour and the abundance of natural talent. Well done guys!

P & C Christmas Stall

Is Your Child Starting Kindergarten in 2012? The transition days for next years Kindergarten will commence on Thursday, 17th November at 10.00am—11.00am. If your child is starting Kinder in 2012 please come along and join our existing students and also newcomers to our family school. Please meet at the Library down in the Stage 1 area to collect name tags and be directed to one of our Kindergarten rooms. Remembrance Day Flag Ceremony

P & C News A huge thank you to the families who supported the Christmas stall last week, it was a great success. Also thank you to the wonderful mums who helped at the stall on the day. We only have THREE weeks to have our Christmas raffle tickets in. Please keep those donations coming in to make our prizes big and enjoyable. Great things are happening in Kindergarten

A special program has been developed through the Learning Centre this year to help support our Kindergarten students. This program is designed to reinforce their knowledge of sounds and number recognition and will prepare them for Year 1 in 2012. A big thank you to Mrs Bloxsom, Mrs Hollister, Mr Schmidt and Mrs Ramos!

New arrivals in KN

We are very proud to announce the safe arrival of our new babies in KN. Much excitement was to be had last week when the first two chickens hatched a day early. Mrs Miles even organised them a birthday cake which the students of KN quite happily ate on the chickens behalf! We will keep you posted with their progress.

Women’s Way

This Thursday 17th November, we will all be going on a Christmas shopping adventure to Park Beach Plaza! The bus will pick up at MPS at 10am and then at the Nambucca Coach stop on the highway at 10:15am. Only $5 bus fare then PAYG. Come and join in the fun! Year 6 Farewell Organising Committee

There is still plenty to do and organise in order to farewell our Year 6 students as they finish their primary school years. So if you would like to get involved and be a part of this historic occasion for your children, come along and join us in the LCC. The next meeting will be held this Thursday 17th November at 3:30pm in the LCC.
